Tbh I wouldn't bother arguing with jcaranti as you won't win. Last time I had a different opinion I ended up with an inbox full of him swearing at me and saying he has high self esteem.

Edt:// Just to add, that PSU Gav quoted is alot better than the other one as it wont go pop after 5 mins and take the whole PC out. Google is your friend ;)

I remember that one, you did exactly same kind of swearing to me in those PMs :)
That was 1 year and some months ago !.

What Gav sugested is over the budject that user Paco can spend.

Its not about witch PSU is better, its about the PSU that Paco can afford and
serve him for his future VGA card. Gav Failed at that.

If i were Paco i would put more money and go for a better one like a Corsair but
he can not spend that money, its simple as that, so im limited to advice on something
that he can afford and handle a 4870 in the future and the PSU that i suggested meets
those requirements.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll keep facing you though Will and Mal, if that's OK. ;-)

Saying as I've got quite a busy day coming up and I doubt I'll be back online much, I'll just leave with a single sentence.

It was Paco himself who suggested the OCZ...

If he can get it for under 120 US dolars in Argentina then its ok.

But i would still go with the Saikano 630w that i recommended earlier
because its cheaper and does the job for what he wants in the future.

What you recomended earlier "Corsair", "Enermax" etc were out of budject :)

Yes, I realise that. And I said so myself.

As for the Saikano doing the job.. I'm sure an Ezcool (a similarly cheap and rubbish PSU) would do the job, but for how long is another matter. Then you'd get a nice spurt of fire up your wallpaper.

If he can't afford a better PSU, then he'd be better off waiting and upgrade when he can afford it. As if (when) the PSU doesn't cope, he's looking at a lot more than $100US.

The Saikano 630w can handle it, infact friends and a computer forum members
that i partcipate have that PSU with a 4870. Infact some of those people have
that combo (psu and vga card) for over a 1 year now and nothing wrong happened.
So atleast i know that the PSU can handle it.

On this i agree 100%.

A year is not a length time to judge the quality of a PSU! You should be looking at at least 5 years, even if it won't be used for half of that.

You should especially not juggle with one so cheap, as you'd be playing Russian Roulette with it - it offers no protection to your components when it does eventually let go.

To your standards it may not be enough time but for mine it is.
When this PSU fails ill be sure notify you how long it lasts, but so far
its looking very good as for durability.

Its a matter of people choices, but if something works people take it.

Personally i have a lot better PSU because i know about risks and all features
for protection but not all people want to buy a more expensive PSU.

There is no need for proof - pretty much anyone who regularly looks at this part of the forum can tell you Gav has been extremely helpful over the years.

You are still using the forum (Which include the PM Feature by the way) as a platform for torrents of abuse? Perhaps you should check the T&C's..

Your knowone to tell me what to write or not write outside of GPG.
The PM that i sent schuetyfan was outside GPG infact the PM that i
sent him was in the F1 Virtual forum PM service.

Once again Jorge Caranti runs off at the mouth causing a valid thread to be closed by a moderator. You are on your last legs here. If I were you Mr. Caranti, I'd keep my mouth shut for a few days. And don't bother sending me pm's, they are deleted without being read. The site has barely been back open for a week and you are already making everyone's experience here, including mine, a misery.
