Update!
My deposit has not been returned. Apparantly I breached the letting agreement terms by moving out unexpectedly and not paying the agreed rent for the contract duration.
Bahahah. I asked if they would be so kind as to end this scenario for all the problems induced by the property, return my deposit in full, and that this would be the end of matters. Simple.
Afraid not.
The deposit protection scheme (which is now UK law to do) held by a deposit protection company was filed the same day (after) my dad stormed the letting agency office and tore out the only original of the contract from the office desk (which didnt have my signature, for evidence). That makes them up $hit creek alone! LOL!
I was told by the agency they filed a police harrassment complaint on my dad for 'abuse' (telling them to STFU) and theft. LOL. News to us, surely he'd be contacted LOL. It's their word versus ours. Fools. Unless it was videos, whch again, we would have been questioned by now and chased up, surely!?
Either way, I nicely asked if I could just have my full deposit returned, and leave it there.
They aren't having it.
The landlord was in the office, of all times, the time I phoned. Rare treat. Instead of answering the phone questions herself, the dippy agency woman said 'would you like to speak to the landlord, hes actually here now'. A polite, 'no, I am alright thanks' was ignored.
I was greeted by a lovely 'see you next tuesday' themed abusive jingle, and was hung up on. Lol. Wish I recorded it! I will do next time.. and not tell him, until the end! HAAHAHAH.
The case continues...
So I told them...literally... 'yippie kai yay... see you in court!! adios amigos'.
