Tsk tsk Keeley, asking for bank balance. :-)

Here's a thought, or two :-) When a chap gets married, he's actually making an investment. A very big one, possibly more expensive in the long term than buying property. Now this type of investment actually depreciates.....you see, the investment doesn't actually improve, the investment ages, it invariably becomes larger as well, requiring more and more money to be spent to try and keep it up to a satisfactory standard, eg. expensive perfumes, clothes, shoes, gym membership, annual holidays, the anniversary gifts etc. and usually lots of beer as that can make your investment look very good as well. This is what is known as a 'money pit'. All this without considering the outrageous initial cost of entering into the investment in the first place, add the rings, and the cost of the contract ceremony with the obligatory party to celebrate the demise of your freedom.
It is what I call a 'high maintenance investment' that in reality can depreciate rapidly, unlike property which more often than not appreciates in value. That is why dating is a much better option long term than marriage, I'll now drag out my old saying...."Why buy a book when you can join the library." :-)
Sorry to go so totally OT lol. As Kryton says - cynicism mode off/ ;-)

That's why it's better to never pretend and when you're dating you don't have to portray something you aren't and therefore save some money :P.

I'm 25; god knows how old i was when i joined - the board says 2004 but i remember the old GPG, when it was grandprix2.org - do i remember that correctly?

Anyway, joined after getting the download link from an AlphaF1 thread. Used to be well into rFactor, but now spend most of my time playing dad.

21, been here about 10 years-ish. Would have been about the sametime for Alpha F1 (if it were still going).

I feel old :(

I'm 21... had my account deleted i do believe =D
I've been here too long =D
Long enough to see Gui marry an elephant.
Long enough to see banjo strings snapping.
Long enough to see m4driving crash and burn.
What else has happened!?

Nah, I think it's a good idea. It's good for the regulars here to get to know a bit about each other.

Mortal, well said on the marriage thing. I think it's overrated myself.
