ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

Sounded dissappointing ish, then again, Muse have always been very schizophrenicly loud soft in every song. I like the loud bits. But, Guiding Light should be good- I totally had a Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner flashback on those first few notes.

Oooo this really is going to be good and exactly what they had said to the fans they'll create. It's all operatic with various loud bits getting you back to reality. Sounds like a story type thing.

Sounds like a great album. I sense a distinct Queen influence on most of the tracks, which isn't a bad thing at all.
There's a noticeable development of their sound since Black Holes & Revelations, which is another good sign. :D

unimpressed at first listen. looks like first track is gonna be the best (i have the full MP3 of uprising - it's actually a perfect followup to Knights of Cydonia). The rest sounds a bit like a watered down mix of absolution with bits of Black Holes mixed in.

Yup listened to the whole 5hours yesterday. Even during dinner time, and thankfully mum and dad didn't mind! :D

And I heard the gig through the show last nite. Will be making a night of it tonite after i complete my assignments :D

I've only heard uprising on the radio. I was shocked actually. The song played about 3/4 of the way through, and all of a sudden I was like "Wait. Why do I recognize that voice? What song is this?" All of a sudden it hit me and I was a wee bit disappointed. I'll reserve my judgment for when I get a shiny disk.

uprising's one of the highlights for me... the album has its merits. But considering Mr Bellamy has just launched a signiture guitar (priced at £2200) there is nowhere near enough guitar on the album for me. the symphony is a bit of a waste of space too. For me, from best to worst (and don't get me wrong, they're all pretty good) the order of albums goes: Showbiz, Black Holes and Revelations, Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, The Resistance. The last two are on a par really. they have their highlights, but there's too many skippers

That signature guitar pisses me off. Manson was on the record of saying that he would never do it, and well, it happened. The Mattocaster just loses all of it's awesome uniqueness.

Well, seeing how you put OoS and Absolution nown the list, and said The Resistance is on par with Absolution, I would think I might just like it then. But ya got the order wrong
