McD's in the UK is not as crap as you think :P. Some staff in the restaurants may not give a crap but if procedures are followed, it's all kept to a good quality level. Also, you can get certified via McD's.

Oh yeah, and I get 17% any Apple items. I hate Apple but I got my mom over US$400 off her laptop ;)

Very hypocritical to say such bad things about a place and still be linked to it in a way :P

You missed a word - presumably 'off'. It was an even worse joke than even I thought if I have to explain it though. :P

Wow, and I thought my grasp of humour was bad at times!

Since Gav's being so helpful, I'll give you a big hint. What's in the middle of an apple?

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

I was looking at the iphone but the tariff is putting me off.
May stay with orange as I can haggle a good deal. Is there anything similar to the iphone on orange?
Like wifi for example and touch screen??

Not really. The iPhone is expensive but in terms of handsets, there's nothing comes close to it out there.

LOL! It's only this summer going to be catching up with some existing handsets! OK, so some may not like Windows Mobile, but it's no where near as bad as it was a few year back - people complain about how slow it is, but I never even noticed on my old iMate SP3, let alone my current HTC Touch Pro.

I guess the closest to the iPhone from HTC is the Touch HD, which is available from Orange. Unfortunately the iPhone isn't the only expensive handset out there though.

iphones arent expensive here, i had to pay $200 bucks updront then the rest is $40 a month on the plan which all goes to calls and txt/internet. thats over a 2 year period, but if you buy it outright, well then your just stupid.

Windows Mobile is nowhere near as good as iPhone OS 1.0, never mind 3.0! I used a friend's HTC phone yesterday and it was horrendous to use. Slow, required a stylus...not cool stuff anymore. When I had my Windows phone I frequently had to close all the apps in task manager just to make the thing work. The iPhone takes a different approach and naturally I'm going to say I prefer it, but having tried both, I can at least say I'm aware of the "competition". ;-)

Use is subjective, but your claim that "nothing comes close" is plainly just wrong when it can't yet even harness many of the features that other, more basic phones, have had for years.

It has very clear competition. That cannot be denied.

BTW, to close a program in Windows Mobile you just hold on the cross rather than press it. ;-)

Stylus use depends on the handset. I don't need it on my Touch Pro - even on Solitaire on a bus, grabbing the top of tiny piles onto other piles isn't a problem. Presumably that's dependant on make and model of the screen though.

Windows Mobile sucks dick. I can't believe how horrendous it actually is to use.
