I wouldn't say no-one's heard of them, but they're not exactly mentioned much - The Thrills.

they're not the gits who kept going on about "Santa Cruz, not that far" are they Gav? there was a big buzz around them when they first broke into the mainstream, now they seem to have disappeared. i didn't like them so am not unhappy about that.

The Editors, and The View - though the View are spamming radio1 nowdays - took time!

Editors are pretty big arent they? I likes 'em though!

I saw a band called Kids in Glass Houses, they sounded pretty cool live..they're from wales and the lead singer was pretty funny. Got their CD which was alright but it sounded a lot more poppy than it did live...

I'm a big fan of the Pixies but nobody seems to have heard of them over here :(, I guess they are pretty old though and were much bigger in the US

;) I saw them in Birmingham a month or two back, was having a kebab in the chippy, and all along it was three members of the band in there aswell, we didnt realise that until these other people asked for the tickets to be signed. We talked to them before and after the gig and they were really really nice guys. Played a good gig as well ;)

Dudes, let's sort this out.

Firstly the Thrills had a successful, charting album. And the Editors are really big. So they can't count!

Perhaps bands who aren't huge, but are just on the cusp of making it are a good idea? Liuke, not your mate's band who are crap, but a band maybe not everyone knows.

Like Metric, or CSS perhaps - both good bands, both could be huge this year!

4ft Pimp - great local band, and one that simply must be seen live. Google them, they have a decent website.
