But there's a problem already ;) Scan forgot to put the Zalman CPU cooler in so I can't build it yet. Called them and they said they will get it sent out asap but it may not be with me until next Tuesday, latest. Hopefully it will turn up tomorrow but only time will tell. The only suggestion the guy had was that I use the stock one for now (that comes with the E6600) but then when it does turn up I will have to get some paste remover and mess about changing it. I think it can all stay boxed and I can hope for the cooler to arrive tomorrow. Other than that, Scan has been excellent! When I rang up to order, the guy went through everything with me and provided advice and support. Brilliant! OCuK just wanted my cash where as Scan seem to have customer service. Would recommend anyone to buy from Scan, the prices are low and the service is top notch (just make sure you remind them to put ALL the parts in the box ;))

GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Errmm...you got all the cables and stuff to join it all together, yeah?
LOL @ both above :D

You didn't need to buy a floppy drive - just use nLite to make a CD including the SATA/RAID drivers and all is good. With Vista you can use a removable drive (USB flash stick, USB hard drive) anyway.
All necessary cables should come with the motherboard and the case.

Actually I have! Got all the cable ties to clip the CPU on the mobo, only problem is I have ran out of super glue to make sure the ram stays in...

Nice, just out of interest what were your old specs?
My old system was (built by me 4 years ago)

AMD 64 3200 (socket 754)
Asus K8VSE Deluxe
GeIL 1GB
80GB IDE HDD
DVD ROM/RW
Sapphire X800pro (AGP)
Antec 500 PSU
You selling that lot Madotter?

4 years :o

whoa, i dont think my system is that old and yet its alot worse :p!

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL
i always wondered too what you did with old stuff ian - a friend of mine keeps his for backups just incase, but got to a point where he could choose from about a bundle of 5 different everythings, mobos, cards etc.

so yeah, just out of curiosity do you hang on to your old stuff incase, or sell second hand? as with Herr Turkey I would also be highly interested if you were to by chance sell any of your old stuff!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
Only I'm a lot more interested than Dan is, cause my rig's about 6 years old at least, and starting to show it's age! ;) (Celeron 800, 512 PC-133 RAM, PCI (no bloody AGP slot on the mobo, thanks Gigabyte) GeForce FX5200, and a few other bits and pieces thrown in there cause I need it)

i am even more needy and pathetic, i run Windows '95 and have 8MB Ram, 4 speed CD rom drive, 1.2GB harddisc and a Pentium 100 cpu... :)

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
Yeah, I am selling it. No idea about price though... Having problems here. The whole thing is RMA!! The PSU had a fault and blew up the mobo, graphics card (NOOOO!!, poor 8800 :() cpu, ram and they want to take it all back to check the parts that don't appear to be dead and replace what needs replacing. So another 5-7 working days now!! Great ;)

Unlucky! :( Its damn annoying when you go out and spend a bigger amount of money trying to get better quality parts and they fail on you. I know, I've had that happen on me quite a few times in the past, however I had to take them back to OcUK :/

Looks like you went for a similar spec to mine :) Except for the GFX card ;) Just can't justify paying £400 odd on a GFX card here... :(
