I've been saying Enermax are over-rated for months now, but gave up when the legions of OcUK decided the Liberty's were the best thing in the history of the world ever. They even neglected the guy who came along with 2 consecutive failed Enermax's. Now I just don't bother giving advice to that lot, and just constantly shout "CODEC PACKS SUCK" every other day.

In short(ish), Enermax don't suck, but they're not the force they used to be. IMO there's 4 companies ahead of them in the PSU stakes, and 3 of those by a long way. Enermax are generally renowned as solid (I'm sure you'll disagree with that now), but never reach their quoted wattage under constant load any more. There's a little of the Q-Tecs about them in that sense.

Still expensive ;)

I wouldn't know about Enermax myself, I heard that Jon apparantly has one and he seems to think the Liberty is good. Also we have a problem with Codec Packs, as they seem to be the only things that makes Xvid and DivX work in Vista 64! If you know of an alternative then I'd be happy to have a link off you ;)

FFDShow? ;)

//edit: get the version SSE one so it uses the instructions in the CPU

For the record, ffdshow's newest downloads can be found here: [sourceforge.net]. I'm up to date with stuff on Doom9. ;-)

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

GPGSL S5 Race driver for IED.
