as Advong said, Nolan has repeatedly stated he doesn't want Robin in any of his movies, he wants to keep the focus on Batman and the main villains. Bale has also said he doesn't want Robin.

and Nolan hasn't officially signed on for another movie yet anyway, so it's obviously too early to report actors as being signed up for roles.

there will be another movie though, given the huge success of TDK. but everything else is just rumours.

Anyways, TDK is gonna be re-released again in theaters, this next January. But, not sure exactly in what/how many countries this will happen.

i dont understand why the dark knight got so much fuss. I watched it the other night and seriously thought it was a good film but no where near as good as everyone made out.

It's where a big part of movie budgets come in, marketing ;-). They were smart and sold their product very well. I thought the Dark Knight was a very good movie in pretty much every aspect but I'd not go watch it again in movie theaters. Would definitely leave my TV in the channel it's on if the movie is playing but that's it.

it's going to be re-released in IMAX in the USA, maybe in other countries too.

@ Matt, there was a lot of fuss about it because it was another Batman movie, but this was massively exaggerated because of Ledger's death. a large proportion of the those who went to see it would have only one so to see him.

and please don't get Shia LaBeef in the next movie, he's an irritating little cock (Transformers, Indiana Jones) only rivalled by Justin Long (Dodgeball, Die Hard 4.0).

Ladies and Gentlemen, I've got him :D It's already out for a week here in Holland, but didn't have the time to go and buy it yet.

Failed to see it in the theatre, only watched it once from a bad camrip, so it's gonna be speakers at max tonight and enjoy the ride :D

Murphy, 47, star of Beverly Hills Cop and The Nutty Professor, has reportedly been signed up by British director Christopher Nolan for the Dark Knight sequel.

I want Jim Carrey for a second chance, now doing it serious, like Ledger as the Joker. Bed he could be impressive.

Jim Carrey can be great if he wants to, almost any role. Eddie Murphy could too, it wouldn't be him writing the script or trying too hard to make the entire movie funny, but this is all a fake report so no point thinking about it.

The thing is, the way Jim Carrey portrayed the riddler was more for a joker, i mean the personality he did was more suitable for the joker than the riddler itself, in this case it was like Carrey doing the joker dressed as riddler in Batman forever, in the hq riddler isn't a character who is usually making fun of the things, he's a more "serious" more "focused" (in this case mainly due taking care of/orchestrating his complex plans) character, well it's like he is more "normal" let's say that... However, obviously he has his share of jokes against the heroes, but the quantity of these also are nothing more than an usual villain in these terms.

Anyways, if Carrey could deliver in a more serious note like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind then this could turn to be really interesting, of course a great potential if made in this view.

I hope Heath Ledger wins the Oscar, maybe the academy will reward who deserves it the most regardless of "status" (James Dean didn't win because he had died months before). Would be nice to see a clip of his works, especially:

and ******SPOILER******
in the end of Dark Knight when he says something about him
and Batman getting old together, doing their stuff forever.
That forever line is so haunting...

Yep yep, it's Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Ledger's character gets taken over by Colin Farrell, Johnny Depp and Jude Law at various stages of the story.

Hope Gilliam's Don Quixote movie gets done. Apparently Michael Palin will be in it as Don Quixote. :)
