just got back from seeing it, it was awesome on the massive IMAX screen. the screen itself is a giant square, not rectangle like normal screens, but because they shot selected scenes actually with IMAX film, the picture fills the whole square screen for those scenes, then reverts back to rectangle widescreen format for the rest of the movie. if you can you should try to see it in IMAX, the scenery was stunning when they showed Gotham (Chicago) and Hong Kong from the sky, and you can pick up so many more little details throughout the movie because of the larger screen.

but book it in advance if you can so you can get the premier seats at the back. i booked early so again got the seats right at the centre on the very back row, so we had the best view.

awesome!

I've just watched it, having marginally missed out on seeing it on its release date twice (once in America, once here).

It was worth the wait! IMHO Heath Ledger was jaw-droppingly awesome as The Joker. It was a genuinely brilliant depiction of the character.

And also great that I thought the film was over, it had reached an appropriate conclusion, and then a hospital gets blown up and there's another 40 minutes of action! I definitely got my money's worth, hehe.

All in all, I'd give this film a 9/10. Only 9 because Harvey Dent's "Terminator" impression was really poor. I also think he turned too easily. But again - Ledger was superb!

So after a month of Waiting, i finally went to see TDK. It definitely has to be the movie of 2008. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was fantastic and Michael Caine's Alfred was fun to watch too at times.

****Spoilers****

The Joker's killings were fantastic and that Joker card in middle of the case papers was just hilarious!
I kept on going over "Why So Serious Son?" over and over again after coming out the Cinemas. Harvey Dent was a great aswell. The comedic parts with the Joker's phone in the guy's stomach and when he was blowing up the Hospital were just fabulous!

10/10!

Academy Award-winner and music icon Cher is in talks to play Catwoman opposite Christian Bale in the third installment of the revamped Batman film franchise, A studio executive reportedly said,

"Cher is Nolan's (director) first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years. The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations."

The Oscar-winner will join a cast that includes Johnny Depp as The Riddler as she plays the whip-carrying burglar.

i hope (and believe) these are only rumours.

it's too early for Nolan and the studios to even start discussing a sequel, let alone start to cast the actors. it'll be in the middle of next year when they announce if there will be another movie, then they'll have auditions towards the end of the year, then will film it during 2010, and release the movie in 2011.

everyone will go away now and do other movies. after 18 months of doing Batman stuff everyday, they all just want a break from it before they start thinking about the next one.

Eddie Murphy set to play The Riddler

Murphy, 47, star of Beverly Hills Cop and The Nutty Professor, has reportedly been signed up by British director Christopher Nolan for the Dark Knight sequel.

The role, played by Jim Carrey in 1995's Batman Forever, had been linked to Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp.

Actress Rachel Weisz is also being tipped to play Catwoman, a role linked previously to Angelina Jolie.

Movie executives have also allegedly signed up Transformers and Indiana Jones actor Shia LaBeouf to play Robin, although Nolan has previously stated he would not want Batman's sidekick in any of his adaptations.

Nolan has so far given no outright indication that he will continue directing the franchise, successfully relaunched with Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader.

But the third movie, following Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, is reportedly being developed under the working title Gotham, and is set for a 2010 release.

A film insider told The Sun: "Chris wasn't sure if he wanted to do another movie but as soon as he decided to, he got the wheels in motion.

"Eddie's a fantastic addition. Everyone's excited to see what he does as the Riddler."

Heath Ledger, who played The Joker in The Dark Knight and died in January, aged 28, last week won a Golden Globe nomination for his scene-stealing performance. He is also tipped to receive a posthumous Oscar.

Never going to happen. The Shia LaBeouf as Robin note paints the whole thing as a lie, Nolan has repeatedly stated that Robin has no place in his Batman Universe.

Anyway hasn't Christopher Nolan so far not agreed to the third film, he wants to do some other projects first.
