Did anyone also get a phone call around 4.30GMT of the Joker caring out the bank robbery? At first i thought what the hell was going around as it said "this is a traffic update on the police activity around your area." I simply just went WAH?! until i realised when it said Gotham City Police ;)

Well this movie is getting excellent pre-release reviews. Richard Roeper, Chicago Tribune, just said that it is not only the best superhero movie, but maybe the best movie so far this year. Says it is more custom to a crime thriller(like"Heat";)then a superhero movie. Heath's Joker is played much like Hannibal Lecture. Says the movie should get an Oscar nomination for Best Picture as well. Wow, who would ever think that for a Batman movie? Has Nolan ever made a bad movie?

His batman movies are base so much on reality that a Superman team up would seem riduculous. I hope it never happens.

Look up Ebert and Roeper Dark knight review on Youtube.

lucky you!

i'm planning on going to see it in IMAX at Printworks in Manchester when it's out. the screen is 6 storeys high and as wide as 3 double-decker buses, makes a normal cinema screen look tiny!

such as shame Ledger wasn't at the premier in New York the other day, they had a black carpet for the stars to walk on instead of a red one.

IMAX!? Oh that is even better. I'm gonna have to go to Vue in a tiny screen compared to the imax and watch it. Argh that sucks lol

are there no IMAX screens near you? I have to travel 30-odd miles to Manchester for the nearest one to me, but it'll be worth it i think. you can make it like a family day out or something if you can't drive yourself. i've seen Batman Begins and Superman Returns at IMAX in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Superman Returns even had some 3D scenes which required us to wear 3D glasses.

it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, as movies are only on IMAX for a couple of weeks before they are removed for the next big movie, whereas they're on the "ordinary" screens for many weeks.

you're both in London, there's bound to be one there.

edit: yes there is an IMAX in London, on the South Bank, near Waterloo station. see these links:

There's the BFI iMAX in Waterloo but thing is being 15 and going far with my friends doesn't go with my parents for some reason so i'll have to stick with the normal "tiny" cinema.
