woah cool.

some of the toyota models don't have drivers, so maybe they decided to do the same for Renault for a few special edition models.

i'll definitely try to get a Heikki 1:43. car looks a bit crap in real life, too busy with the colours, but it's something to marvel at in 1:43 scale.

i look forward to the '07 Honda cars, wonder how well they can recreate that livery.

FW28 arrived today:

looks pretty good, i like the way the blue seems to sparkle with the camera flash in the last pic.

just some small decal damage in his helmet, a bit is missing from the visor, the FedEx logo just above the visor is messed up, and the Accenture logo and join between the yellow and blue just below the visor is messed up.

not worth the hassle mate, i bought it off ebay, the guy didn't post any pics in the listing but it was a good price so i bid on it and won, so my fault really. i'll just sell it again, showing pics of the damage of course.

I'm liking the Williams, the blue looks really nice...shame about the helmet though.

I finally finished my fictional car that (the one i mentioned a few pages back)
before:

after:

It turned out to be quite a time consuming and expensive project but it felt good when I finished it (although I still kinda have the driver to do). I try not to look at the 'before' shots because it was quite a nice looking car, but its good to have my own team car to look at.

I'm now on the look-out for Megane Trophy models to paint!

Muks, it looks like the head has been removed and glued back. Definitely dodgy work there.

And Ric, it looks sharp from the distance you took and definitely better than it looked in that rFactor replay ;)

look at how absolutely rubbish this model is, supposedly a 2007 McLaren: [cgi.ebay.co.uk]

saying that, it's probably better than Mattel ;)

I got the button Honda from a shop.

GPL seem to send cars out a bit later than shops for some reason.

I ordered some Senna cars and am still waiting for them yet I have seen them in shops.

On their site they say the Pedro car out soon, but I have it, you can also get the Lewis test car in shops as well.

They are going to make so much money on Lewis, I have been told there will be a 1st gp, 1st pole which will also be 1st win.

cool can you show us pics of the Button 1st win please? haven't even seen 1 pic of it yet.

and i've pre-ordered the MP4-21 testcar and also 1st Race Lewis1:43 models. will probably get the 1st Win model too. don't see the point of making a separate 1st pole model though, why not just call 1 model the Canadian GP model to commemorate the whole weekend? but i guess they want to squeeze as much money out of his fans as they can.

How did you actually do that? The decals and such? Pretty amazing.

Thats one of the reasons i dont wanna collect lewis models, if ge gets succesfull minichamps will squeeze money out of his fans just like mattel did with Schumacher. For every little thing making a model. Like for the 2006 season there is a normal car, a 66 pole car (imola) a nurburgring edition, a germany edition, a china edition, a monza edition and last but not least a brasil edition. 6 editions for 1 bloody season. I can get the 66 pole and the last wing in china and last race in brasil but imo its useless to have a nurburgring, germany and italy edition.

but those germany, italy and nurb editions are just a few hundred or so for the fans at the track, making them highly collectable because they can't be bought elsewhere (unless someone buys it from the track and then sells it on ebay oc course). they aren't generally available so fans in those countries can have a limited edition model.

but i think MS is a bit of a special case, it was his last season and he broke all the records, so i can forgive them making a 66 pole, last race, last win, and a last win at monza model, given the special occasion the monza race was with his retirement.

although i do agree they will milk Lewis fans as much as possible.
