this has probably already been mentioned, but why can't the model companies use either the marlboro barcode or stripes?

btw, prior to an earlier discussion, it looks like massa will get a Brazilian GP model

models are classed as toys for children, therefore it is seen as wrong and immoral that toy cars have cigarette advertising on them. because of this, even the barcode livery is not allowed, because it is simply an alternative way for Ferrari to advertise Marlboro.

well, mattel is classed as toys, minichamps isnt, thats why minichaps does do the alternative liverys of tabacco, just not tabacco becouse its forbidden in the european union. Thats the reason why Mattel doesn't show alcoholic adds either (like Johnny Walker) and Minichamps does.

hey guys - i remember a lot of you often have a bit of a clearout occasionally, and it got me wondering before i tried the old bay of e...

does anyone have any 1:43 models they were considering selling?

i am hunting for a reasonably priced 1:43 R26 (also hoping to find an R28 somewhere on ebay too, and a few BAR006's).

Anyone with any info or knows where there are diecast sales, please share them!

I have a little custom project in the works (a few bits arrived for me today!)

thanks in advance!

hey guys. as you may know, i like Batman a teeny weeny little bit ;) in particular the Chris Nolan movies. well Hot Toys of China have produced some awesome 1:6 scale figures for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, so i thought i'd post a few pics of each for you all to see. they stand approx. 12 inches tall, and are sold in in China, although you can import/buy them on ebay, and in the USA DC Direct import them for sale, even though these figures are a limmion times better than DC Direct's own products!

they retail for betweem £120-150 inclduing shipping, so are obviously very expensive and are probably not worth it, but if you're a big enough fan, you will be happy to pay it. i don't have any yet as i can't justfiy paying that kind of price, but am planning on buying a couple in the next couple of years once i've sold some of my car model collection. i think they're awesome.

and they're scale models/figure so i hope you don't mind if i post the pics here, even though we've mainly concentrated on car models so far :)

first off is the Joker in his trademark costume from the TDK movie. the headscult is not very accurate, although you can tell it's meant tobe Heath. this is because it was produced, sculpted and released before the movie was even out, so they only had a few photos to work from:

next is the TDK version of the Batman Begins suit, as seen in the first part of TDK before he gets his new suit:

you also get the Christian Bale headsculpt:

next is the Bank Robber Joker, as seen in the first scene of TDK, which comes with 2 heads, the 2nd to be used with the clown mask:

this was sculpted after the movie was out leading to a much more accurate likeness of Ledger.

the good thing is that if you are unhappy with the innaccurate head from the first figure, you can just attach the head from this new figure onto it,and used the clown mask head on the bank robber figure, or buy an additional new head off ebay:

next is Batman's new suit from TDK:

again with the Bale head:

the Begins and TDK suits together:

remember this bit from the movie?

comparison with the real photo:

some people have used the Bale heads to make their own custom Bruce Wayne figures in suits:

next is Harvey Dent and Two Face, which comes with a burnt and unburnt suit jacket so you can display him as either character:

Hot Toys have also announced that they will be releasing a figure of Joker as the policeman as seen at the Mayor's parade in TDK, where he has no makeup and is seen for about 5 seconds like this:

i'd probably get the TDK version of Batman and the Bank RObber Joker, plus the alternate purple costume off ebay, and possibly Two-Face. i don't know if they're gonna make a Jim Gordon figure, but it would complete the set if they did. they also have released a 1:6 Batpod (bike), which is over 2 feet long and costs over £400!

hope you liked :)

That looks astonishing, especially that hair of the Jokerfigure, and the Two-Face/Dent figure.
