the text on the tyres is actually the standard white bridgestone potenza stuff a la F1 and whatever, but these particular tyres have a red band on the sidewalls to differentiate between compounds - "reds" are softer, teams have a certain amount of sets (3 I think) to run a weekend, and must run one set in the race. normal "blacks" are the harder standard tyres.

pretty cool thing really, helps loads trackside.

It doesn't work anymore as it's kinda illegal. All the links have been removed as it breaks more than a couple of major copyrights.
