I remember coming across this thread one time ages ago(about 3 years ago I think) when I was doing some dedicated(if pointless) research of who was who here. Before the November 2009 forum upgrade the really early posts by users - from when usernames were changeable - kept the old username, so when I last saw this thread Orpheus's posts were under the name I-MAX. Now it's been gravedug. Holy crap!
I'm starting to like Zcott. :P

It would be amusing and entertaining to see some sort of visual flow chart/diagram of the social family tree of this place.

Like this, but a little more.



Infact, that would be a pretty interesting field of study across various internet forums to establish the sort of friendship clusters/relationships/love/hate and power hierarchies that form within social networks and online communities.

It's probably a taboo subject, but I wonder if Mortal/Mal/Vader/Stephen would allow such a mini project to be undertaken by form of private research and forum stats (ie, collate data of who is friends with who; who private messages who frequently; who mentions others in posts the most; who quotes certain people etc).

Fascinating, but probably could never be done.

But it could be an instrumental tool in working out who/what exactly makes this place tick; and also highlight and possible solve the issues with certain members. There could be so many layers to it!

I think you might be right. If my memory serves me correctly - and it frequently doesn't - he is actually a politician to some official extent.
