Cry me a river - lostprophets

tis actually pretty good!

Sim

All Hail The New York Giants - Winners of Superbowl XXI, XXV and XLII!

"I'd love to know what goes on in that crazy head of yours sometimes, Sim..." - Locke Cole
Amy Winehouse - Valerie. Different style, but works!

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

GPGSL S5 Race driver for IED.

Beatles - Twist and Shout

Joe Cocker - With a Little Help from My Friends

Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower

Pearl Jam - Last Kiss
You Really Got Me - Van Halen

GPGSL WDC Season 4

NOOOOOOOO! i didn't like the original, but unless Amy is a lesbian it makes no sense that she's singing about a woman.

and about Watchtower by Hendrix, was funny on Radio 1 last week when someone covered it and said "the orignal by Hendrix was good etc. etc.", failing to realise that it's actually a Bob Dylan song.

my candidate: Lyla by Foos. (the original by Oasis was boring and whiny with Liam's terrible nasal vocals, Foos rocked it up and made it much better IMO).

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)
Mike Flowers & The Pops' version of Wonderwall:

(what the heck was the original about? what's a "Wonderwall" anyway? it's just nonsense and one of the most overhyped songs EVER.)

Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm of course!

Apart from that, I find that most covers I listen I only prefer because of the musical style rather than it being 'better' as such. Another Girl Another Planet by blink-182 is a good example, I don't think it's any better than the Only Ones original but I prefer the style.

You're even singing lyrics from it. :P

'Wonderwall' is an old film. If I remember the song's was derived from that in some way. Loved it when it came out, but it was played so damn often I just got sick of it.
IIRC, the lyric "what's a Wonderwall anyway?" was from the Travis song Writing To Reach You, not Wonderwall itself, Gav.

That´s nicely done, and a matter of taste ofcourse, but this isn´t an improvement on the real song i think.

But in this case, you might even say it´s comparing apples to pears.

Christina Aguilera versus Jet remixed....not technically a cover, but catchy nonetheless!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
not bad Dan, although i never really liked the Jet song on its own.

Nirvana - Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam

Also, their cover of The Man Who Sold The World was great. Wonderwall I think was a George Harrison album, and Oasis was honoring that.
