And the addition of commentary from Murray Walker and Martin Brundle – ITV’s F1 commentary duo at the time – cranked up the fun factor to 11.

The Real Story of the Race was that the Renault's fell apart and the Ferrari's didn't.
Rosberg headed for the sliproad and retired, probably because of Nicotin starvation they have still not given him a helmet with a little hole in it.

How on earth are the Codemasters games winning? They're really poor, and just boring, the AI in F1 2011 doesn't even attempt to overtake you, even with KERS and DRS!
It should be between GP4 and the Bizarre Creations games!

It's quite terrible that Codemasters is still on top. Obviously they have some features that GP4 doesn't, but if you consider that Codemasters made their games 10 years later, the lack of improvement was a real disappointment, not to mention the myriad of bugs and errors.

Geoff Crammond’s Grand Prix series, there's my vote you cant put yourself in those other games now can you.

let's say it like this...

When Grand Prix 4 was released back in 2002 it was an top notch game, graphicly, gameplay almost everything.

F1 2010 and 2011 is released now with alot more options to build a game around with all the new techs that the world is seeing every day.
Gameplay are to much arcade, graphics are not "oooh" and as Ed said, bugs here and there.

Considering what you paid for GP4 back in 02 and what you paid for F1 2011, which game have been most worth the money?
GP4 becomes a new game every year with all the modded cars, tracks, helmets etc.

Goeff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 is the best F1 game ever released and will forever be!

Well, F1Fanatic has announced the final results of its poll about the best F1 racing game ever:

Codemasters edge Crammond for ‘best F1 game’ honours
Debates and polls


F1 Fanatic readers voted Codemasters’ F1 games the best Formula One racing series.

F1 2010 and F1 2011 were picked by 38% of readers as the top F1 racing titles.

Second place went to the Geoff Crammond Grand Prix series with a quarter of the votes – an impressive result for a non-console title, the last edition of which was published 11 years ago.

Another PC title, rFactor, was a distant third with 9% of the vote which over 500 readers participated in.

Codemasters creative director Stephen Hood said: “To be mentioned in the same breath as Geoff Crammond makes us very proud.

“Many within the studio grew up playing his games and they’ve been a true influence.

“Formula One is massively important to us at Codemasters. We recently signed an extension to the license and have exciting plans for our F1 series this year and beyond. We cannot wait to share them.”

F1 Fanatic readers were asked to nominate the best F1 racing games and from that a shortlist was compiled. Here’s the result in full:

get codemasters to employ Goeff Crammond + the community greats & all work together on the ultra gp! call the group codecramers & presto!!! ok I'm awake now.

I find that result very hard to believe. CodeMasters is such a poor game considering all the technology implied. Its kind of all the 'bling' of a Lexus but even so, it will never be a Porsche.
There is a pedigreed spirit in GP4 that could never be replaced with games such as CodeMasters, no matter how advanced the lighting or how detailed the graphics, CodeMasters will always be a dim blur compared to GP4, that is until the day that they take a page out of an eleven year old sim's manual that shows how a real F1 sim should be made.

How about this then we get Goeff and his team + the community hall of the famous to start on an all specs no holds bared ultra gp series were talking susspention ajustments, camber, fuel explosions in the pit lane, hang on I,m dreaming again sorry.
