I agree on that .

- But its also unfair to treat a driver like a hero when its clearly the physics favor his driving.

- Also its unfair to penalize wheel drivers or handicap them when keyboard drivers
have a clear advantage. Until the last event we had a series of Pms with Tom
talking about the physics. He is still considering penalizing wheel drivers !!! even
all the results since bahrain proved keyboard drivers had an advantange.

- Stefano86K season 1 results have been deleted. How convinient. Tom, phone ...
Season 1 he was no way near the front drivers and in season 2 is dominating because
of the physics.

You did not participate from the start of season.
You participated in 3 events. In any of those events you where not able to score a higher result than 5th place.

If you want to lie thats fine me, but i know the truth.

You could lie to not show you were not good driver with season 1 physics and your trying to show yourself
as something good with current physics that favors keyboard drivers.

And no, i did not confuse you with another driver.

Season 1 wasn't deleted [www.gp4central.com]

Bottom of the page-->Competition-->GPCC Season 1

Anyway congratulations to the winner. And pat on the back for Tom for hosting this but also for his nerves of steel. (Y)

It was not deleted but it was taken out of the results a few drivers
such as stefan86k witch his best result was a 5th place.

Thanks Jorge, You too..Vimal ana and Stefano too...(Y)

BTW..

I agree with Jorge about the physics car benefits a lot for keyboarders. I'm not the only one that I'm complaining about that car. We will see a Keyboarder driver is the champsionship winner...Ahh Next year maybe or not.:(:-(:-(

So I don't like creating bad atmosphere...(N)

The physics is the same for everyone. So I don't agree with this argument.

The rules, however, explicitly favour keyboard drivers and I am totally open about that. That is because wheel-users have a natural advantage with their analogue controls and so my rules give a disadvantage to high-ranking wheel-users to equalise this.

I have said time and again that these performance penalty rules are a work-in-progress. I am listening to your feedback and I am willing to modify the rules in future seasons until we create the most level playing field possible. So far, we have had only 2 events under the performance penalty rules (Phoenix Hotlap #1 had none). Those two events produced:

1) an all wheel-user podium at Monza
2) a 0.01s win for a keyboarder (with a penalty) from a wheel-user (without a penalty) at Singapore

So, after two events, we have a split. Two events is not enough to judge the success of the penalty rules yet, but as the league organiser, I'm happy with the level of competition so far.

You boys remind me of Alonso and Vettel at Silverstone this year - complaining about each other getting an unfair advantage but at the same time having a great race for the rest of us to watch :)

I will take all constructive and measured feedback into account when developing this league (e.g. some users have suggested the use of hard tyres as an alternative penalty, which I am now looking at). But any more whinging will be ignored - remember this is just for fun.

Ofcourse you can deny it. You have control over whats left of the results or not.

1 - Bahrain: supermonty(keyboard driver) was 1 second faster than the closest wheel driver a lap.
2 - Phoenix: Stefan86k(keyboard driver) was nearly 9 tenths faster than the closest wheel driver hotlap
3 - Monza: I won the event. But if you look closely look at stefan86k(keyboard driver) with the maximum fuel penalty
ending .700 of my hotlap. Its clear that he would have won if he had not the fuel penalty.
4 - Singapore: Stefan86k won event with the maximum fuel penalty by .015 of a lap.

Do you see the pattern???

Anyone with minimum of reason, with logic would understand that these physics favor keyboard drivers.
Its a fact. I just showed it.

So keyboard drivers have an already advantage as proven in my previous comment
but not only that you want wheels to have more restrictions.

In the mean time keyboard drivers will continue dominating and more likely to win the championship.
Good job Tom. I get it. Your doing it on purpose.

Translation: You dont want a wheel driver to win the championship
and your doing everything to make sure that a keyboard driver wins.
Thank you ...

Time for the opinion of a neutral third-party.

"I don't normally weigh into these kind of verbal brawls - I won't deign to call this a debate - but I really, really cannot see why some people have an issue.

That the wheel users are having a hard time keeping up with keyboarders is, imo, a good thing.

Any complaints along the lines of 'He only won because the competition favours keyboarders' are, frankly, a case of sour grapes from someone who won every race but one last season.

Wheel users have so many advantages over keyboarders.........and we all know what they are, so there is no point listing them.

Last season, every race except Brazil was won by a wheel driver; As the 2013 mod didn't radically change the physics - or so I believe - from Vanilla, this provides a good example of how naturally dominant wheel users are over keyboarders.

This year, 2 of the 3 events thus far have been won by keyboarders.

At Phoenix, Stefano was nearly 9-tenths than the nearest wheel user.........but was nearly a second and a half quicker than the next keyboarder.

At Singapore, Stefano won again......but by less than .02 of a second from the closest wheel user; Here again, Stefano was nearly a second quicker than the next keyboard driver.

If, as is alleged, the physics favour keyboard drivers, why is it that only ONE keyboard driver out of the EIGHT that have competed this year has won so far?

And when Tom says that the rules favour the keyboard drivers, think of it more as 'they don't smash the kneecaps of the keyboard drivers'; If you limited the amount of steering help available to them, and take away their traction & launch control, you are taking them out of contention entirely."

As it is now, the people with the superior control mechanism have to work just that little bit harder to beat those less fortunate; How exactly, is that a bad thing?
