Nico Iceberg :-)

I was joking a bit because I was driving
Nico's car in Pre-season....I forgot I had to keep that name :-)

I have had a bad time at Monza & have just not
found any rhythm at all on uphill chicane after turn 3 & also last sweeping uphill before finish.

Would have liked to be in the 1:21's
Fun though & enjoyed it.

Italy Hotlap #2 Final Standings

Jcaranti wins the Italy Hotlap #2 event. Stefano86k retains the lead of the championship by 2 points from a chasing trio.

Well, that was some event! The most closely contested event in the GP4CC so far, multiple lead changes and a close contest for every position. Well done everyone (Y)(Y).

Next up: Singapore.

Tom, your hotlap has 4 wheels outisde the white line exiting the first chicane.

4.1 : The track edges may not be crossed. If all 4 wheels cross the lines at the edge of the track at any time, the entry will be invalid.

The HOFxLap output says i didn't have all 4 wheels off the track. The HOFxLap output is what we are going by, as it says in the rules:

4.1 : The track edges may not be crossed. If all 4 wheels cross the lines at the edge of the track at any time, the entry will be invalid. This will be determined by the HOFxLap output of the lap.

My rear right is on the line in that pic. It raises a valid point though - kerbs seem to be part of the track in the HOFxLap output. I'd prefer it they weren't - I'll ask Rene if it's something he can change in a future version of GPxPatch.

That was a good turnout !

Congrats to all

Jorge when watching replays I notice yours looks different then I saw that you run in 16FPS

I was wondering if you like that better? I remember you mentioned you had a
good gfx card Geforce GTX 770 with 2gb gddr5

So was curious if you just like that fps better?
On my computer it is very choppy/not fluid
which is why i wondered & looked at the specs in the hofxlap

brasspanels we can use any car we want you just need to change the drivers name & number to be the one you always use
1.2 : Participants must use the same name and number throughout the season.

That is why recently in another post Tom suggested you try the Mercedes when you said you felt you were slower

Only time you cannot use the Mercedes is when you are one of the leading drivers

HOW CONVINIENT TOM ...

i BET if it happend to someone else you applied it was 4 wheels outside the white lines.

JUST PROYECT THE CAR 5CM forward and thats you 4 WHEELS OUTSIDE and still the front tyres
would be OUTSIDE the white lines

REMOVEME FROM THE TABLE of the championship.

Sorry to say YOU ARE A CHEAT.

Dont use any of my SINGAPORE tracks and others including my Suzuka.

I would apply the rules equally, and the rule is clearly worded. However...

A fair point, so I reviewed my lap again (not easy when F4 / F5 don't work in replay mode!). And I concede that you are probably right:

I had assumed the GPxPatch / HOFxLap output was correct, but perhaps it is not perfect.

I have removed my lap from the event as a result.

Singapore replaced in the calendar as requested.

Come come now..............This is suppose to be fun

Tom touched a curb what is the problem?
It is not like he is cutting the track to save time & also as he pointed out he was 6th

I mean I could almost see someone in 2nd maybe.....complain if Tom was 1st but
come now.............This is suppose to be fun

Tom I wish you would leave your lap in

Just my 2 cents ;-)

Thanks

@flying - I still had fun :) The rules are no different for me.

Actually Jorge did tell me a couple of days ago but I just assumed HOFxLap was right. According to our rules, kerbs are not part of the track, but now I realise HOFxLap seems to think they are part of the track, which means my validation routine is not 100% perfect. Hopefully Rene will be able to help me with that, let's see.

a huge fight at Monza ! i'm desappointed to be out of podium but happy to be the first keyboard driver, but the stefano's laptime is incredible, despite his weight penalty.

While I'm not upset at Tom's DSQ from Monza - it is, after all, more points for me (Y) - I'm interested about the precedent this sets moving forward.

Does this mean that we will need visual checks on every lap submitted?

I personally think the HOFxLap judgement of Off-track should be final; It, unlike a human, is incapable of bias.

Is it perfect?

Obviously not, as this incident demonstrates.

But, though fallible, it is going to be consistently fallible for all drivers during an event.

Just my 2 cents.
