GPGSL Canadian Grand Prix - Montreal

Qualifying

Welcome back to Montreal for the qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix.
Commentary should be back for this session as we found at the end of Free Practice that the microphone wasn't plugged into the console. We think it became unplugged when Mal swept it clean of donut crumbs.

Anyway, here we go ... testing, testing, 1, 2, 1, 2, Mary had a little lamb ...

Elleker sets the first time of the day.

Johnson slots into 2nd.

Karjalainen sticks his snake into 3rd.

Oakley beats them all and grabs the numbe one slot.

Muller goes close in 2nd.

TNR's Sheppard soon steals the pole.

And Hinz takes 2nd in his MAC.

Greidanus uses Team Shadow's team boost to good effect.

As does Aleksander.

Horváth with a great time in 1st for TNR.

AMR's Warrington takes 4th.

The playboy returns to form with 2nd.

Maverick shows the form that won him the race at Dubai last season.

Another Aston and another 4th place, this time its Greenhalgh.

First runs done, Johnson is first out.

Followed by Karjalainen.

Cartwright nearly takes Johnson out at the pit exit.

Second runs done and the top 6 is unchanged. 7th to 12th has shuffled slightly.

Everyone in the bottom 10 have improved times, except Elleker.

Karjalainen with a massive improvement to 4th.

Oakley improves to 2nd.

3rd round of runs completed.

Stay tuned for the official qualifying results.

3rd and 11th is impressive with no boost once again

Great return to for for Matt

Pity we can't get both cars hooked up at once though in quali

14th and 18th for our guys is better than we did in qualifying so thats a start! We can hopefully push for some points...

Poor. Even with a driver boost. It's getting beyond a joke, maybe I'm not cut out for racing anymore?

Solid if unspectacular result. Looking forward to the race!

Qualified in 11th today, for sure not where I wanted to be!

My goal is to finish top 6! Lets try and hold on to the 1st place in drivers championship standings! The 3rd place from houston is nice, lets see where he can finish tomorrow!

Edit: The field is so damn close! A small mistake put you 10 places back in qualifying.. :O

Great job by Chris to be in with a shot at points. Confident Jack can make his way up and maybe steal a point for most places gained.

14th is a good result given our car limitations...im really hoping for a top 10 finish in the race..
Slightly disappointed with my 18th place, was hoping for the top 15 with a team and driver boost, hopefully I can do a Kobayashi in the race and kick some ass

14th and 18th is okay for qualifying...I'm glad we use a team boost though, I think the pace of the car would gave really stumped us if not. Hopefully we can score a point or two in the race.

I'm getting deja vu in Montreal...not a good bit of deja vu either :(

Here's hoping the rest of the Montreal race plays out like it did last season. ;)

Decent qualifying, nothing more.

4th? WOW. I'd never have expected such a good position without KERS (boost). Actually Rod's position reflects more what I thought was possible with the car. But I'm glad that I could show my real personal potential and bring home such a good position. Let's simply hope that I won't be totally out of pace tomorrow without the KERS and bring home a top 6. That would definitely be a big success.
