Well mate,I don't agree with your point.I mean, even if you have two test driver that can race, and then happens that your race driver has to be replaced and your testers haven't a competitive perf, what do you do?You are always forced to ask another team for a tester which is doing well in the tdc. That happened last season to me when Philip got his 2nd warning, and I had to call Tobias Kederer from TSS,even if I had Joseph and Jake onboard ;-)

My GPGSL Career
Well Matteo,

this is your problem then. And actually that is nonsense at all. Actually the main reason for test drivers is that they can replace one of your current race drivers if necessary. If you think that they don't have a competitive perf, that's your problem. But at least you have a reasonable option if you can't find another driver very quickly.

So, I actually agree with Owen and think that teat test drivers should be considered as first option, at least, in such a case.

I know, infact into the last two season I launced in the main series two of my testers during the season,Gigi and Jake ;-)

It depends on your targets mate.If TGP is fighting for 6th place with SCR,I think that having the right driver is important;-).

It's supposed that, when a teamboss has a problem, the other teambosses should be helping him by borrowing one of their testers, like Dan and Stu did when Matt Houston was demoted to test. And then, when VSM had no test drivers to replace its racers, you and Chris were signed in mid S5 as racers. And VSM got a big advantage from that, something that would have been difficult to reach with own testers(i remind that Buijs tested for them for few sessions but wasn't so good too);-)

My GPGSL Career
Yeah it is unfortunate, but what was he supposed to do?

He was turned down by many other teams

Also it's not like Jake doesn't have other options as someone has pointed out

I totally disagree Matteo. Even though I offered to help out Dan, I still felt that he ought not to have got himself in that position by having two team owners as test drivers.

Having spent 3 days living in my day before arriving in Monaco, I chose to stay behind the camera ;)

Most you guys seem to have me on Facebook anyways so I'm sure you've seen the progress...

The are no words to describe this place, Monaco is indescribable - Unlike anywhere else in the world. Fact.

obviously he didn't want that. But he was sure that none of his drivers would have been unactive. That's the same thought I made in S6.

Have you found any shortcuts that the TSS drivers can use next season, Tom? ;)

That's right... hehehehehe... I said this because I need to know if car will be changed for ZG-02, or maintain actual layout.

I like new project very much!! A clean car, without lots of wings... :)

It seems that it is better to remain active throughout the season this year ...

GPGSL Season 7 Rule changes Announcement

The GPGSL has decided to implement some rule changes effective immediately, Changes are as follows.

5) Team ownership
e) The GPGSL will not allow two team owners to drive for one team.

22) Driver contracts
c) If a team owner breaks off a contract and dismisses a driver without the agreement of that driver, the team will receive a 10 point WCC penalty.

The GPGSL reminds all participants that the current round of track voting closes on Monday 17th Oct 2011. The final calendar, including weather will be announced after the votes have been counted.

Alpha Racing Team Announcement

After recent developments over at Tafuro Grand Prix, we are glad to announce that Jake Legge will be joining us as a test driver for the 7th Season of the GPGSL.

Stefan had the following to say: "I'm glad we were able to sign Jake for next season, Carlos was getting jumpy because he would have been a test- and racedriver. This way Jake has a driver for next year and Carlos can sleep again at night."

Jake Legge was not yet available for comment.

Alpha Racing Team Season 7 line-up:
#7 Carlos Rodríguez
#8 Rodrigo Vilela
TD1 Jake Legge

I'm happy for Jake :-) That prooves what I said: he would have needed less time than me to find a good test seat;).

I have just a request for the governing body, following the new rules. You must pay my bodyguards to save myself and my factory from Ricardo's revenge ;)

My GPGSL Career
After all the controversy surrounding his contract at the TafuroGP team, Jake Legge has been available to interview on his new contract with the Alpha Racing Team.

He said: 'I am so grateful to Stefan, I had a couple of other offers on the table but his stood out most for me. I know the whole contract issue is messed up, but these things happen...but who'd have thought it? I guess Matteo wanted to test that much, huh?' He also commented on his future chances: 'I hope that I can work towards a race seat with Alpha. The setup is good, and I want to stay for quite a while.'

On another note he commented on his old team's purported Mafia links. 'I kinda played down the rumours in my own mind, but alarm bells did start to ring when a man named 'Big Luigi' offered to do my gardening...'.
