GPGSL Season 6 Complete!

Posted by GPGSL
GPTV.org welcomes you all to Sao Paolo, Brazil, for the penultimate round of GPGSL action for Season 6

The weather forecast for the upcoming on track action looks perfect, with no inclement weather expected. Should be dry running all the way....

The Test Drivers 30 minute session is about to get underway.....

Green flag on the 30 minute session, and it is Mr Van Smirren first to hit the track

Southern Cross Racing's Daniel Thomas is next in line....

Stefan Van Renselaar is third in the queue...

Book ending the field out on their first runs of the session, Connor Steer is last on track, just ahead of his team mate, who is on a flying lap...

Team mate Steer, appears to be far enough in front to not hinder Van Smirren as he flies around the Interlagos layout...

The Christel VXR sets the first timed lap...

Paolo Tafuro emerges fastest after the first couple of cars cross the line...

TNR's Owen Edwards slots into 4th early in the running...

Tobias Kederer jumps to the top of the time sheets...

Stuart Ingers runs through the first turn, with back wheel lifted. Suspension setup may need investigating by AMR....

The dashboard of Kederer's TSS machine shows he is very low on fuel....

He also has a clear track in front of him, showing a good reason why he was able to run a quick time....

The usual mad action in pitlane as cars return to their pit bays....

The top 8, after the first runs....

Postions 9-16....

Positions 17-22....

TSS driver Tobias Kederer returns back to the track....

Aston Martin Racing's Stu Ingers is not far off the pace through the first section....

Still close after 2 sectors....but no gain made (trust me, nothing happened)

An overall look at the standings....

Dan Paddock is stuck right under the rear wing of a TNR machine...

Meanwhile, Kederer is flying again!!!

The TSS driver is white hot at the moment...

Approaching halfway through the session, positions 1-8...

Positions 9-16

Positions 17-22

Dan Paddock just seems to keep finding traffic....

But, the MPR driver finds clear air, going fastest, and then flying AGAIN on a 2nd lap...

15 cars on track, Paddock heads the time sheets...

Snake Motorsports' Chris Stokel can't do much, with traffic just ahead of him...

The two MAC Racing entries run line astern, with the team boss half a second off the pace...

ART driver Van Renselaar stays near the top of the time charts, in 3rd place...

Paddock now finds himself with the AMR of Stuart Ingers just in front of him....

Just over 5 minutes to run, the top 2 guys on the time sheet are right next to each other on track!

But the top 2 are split, by the MPR Lancia of Paulo Tafuro...

The session times out, but plenty of drivers still on track...

Way at the top of your screen, the AMR of Stuart Ingers appears to be pushed wide as he closes on the slower Van Smirren Seat...

But NO!!! He has managed to pull off a last minute surprise, and snatch the top spot on the time sheet!! Amazing!!!

MPR driver Dan Paddock is the last man on track, but can do nothing to topple the AMR of Stuart Ingers.

Session over, congratulations to Aston Martin Racing's Stuart Ingers on clocking the fastest time!!

I'm happy with 6th place, that keeps me in the fight for 3rd place in the championship.

Pretty solid result, hopefully we can do something similar in the race :)

17th place, thats not too bad i guess. Chris (stokel) didnt get any points as well so i guess thats good (sorry chris i am competing for not last ;)).
With the pace Jack and Michael have shown i wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a decent showing after Rico's 13th.

I actually hope for a bit more in the main race. It finally must be possible for Rod AND me to have a good result. So, 2nd and 3rd behind Greenhalgh is what I'm dreaming of, lol.

You are both test and race driver as TGP doesn't have a real testdriver anymore now that Oakley is out.

2nd and 3rd is great, can't complain to be behind Red B... I mean Aston Martin

I think that's probably the most coverage I've ever had in a session

Hopeful for the rest of the weekend, I love Interlagos. Let's see what Matt and Charrel can do

great result for us boss:-)

My GPGSL Career
Solid result today in fifth and sixth and loads of coverage so the sponsors will be pleased :)

11th is not something as good as I wanted, being so close to my country and in a track I love a lot. But points are points, Stefan managed to get an excellent result and of course, having John at the pit lane was encouraging for me ;-). I'm sure he and Rodrigo (in his home country) will get a good result, although at this moment Vettel Greenhalgh is untouchable.
