GPGSL Season 6 Complete!

Snake Motorsports

Snake Motorsports have let their eye fall on a new talent in the racing sport. Although starting the season on purpose with no test drivers to give the race drivers as much time as possible in the car during the race weekends one of the cars will be filled up again. The talent discovered by Snake Motorsports is Chris Stokel and is British from nationality.

Maikel de Boer is happy to be announcing this new driver who will get behind the wheel of a Snake Motorsports car in the next race. Chris looks to be very fast and promising for the future, we are happy to be offering him a test driver seat within our team, he will become the #1 tester and will surely be helping us forward in our second season of GPGSL.

Chris Stokel on Joining Snake Motorsports

First off, i would like to thank Maikel for signing me up as test driver. I hope to repay his faith and show real pace in testing. But i don't want to stop there. My aim is to break into the real GPGSL by next season and secure a race seat. This may seem optimistic but i believe i am at the right team for this to happen. A race seat at Snake Motorsports would be ideal but Nick and Tommi are quality drivers and have earned their place in the sport, so for now it is all about supporting them and making the car faster to bump them and the team up the grid.


On another note can any one quickly whip me up a helmet? Doesn't have to be anything special, but i was thinking a british flag design, or maybe a simple black and white stripe design in support of NUFC :-D thanks

Hopefully Montreal will be a good race for me and the team with the team and driver boost

Christel Racing Hopeful Ahead of Montreal

Chris Copeman was interviewed in the Montreal paddock ahead of round 3 of the GPGSL and said that his team was in a buoyant mood. "Yeah we've made a good start, I think we were a bit unlucky in the last race but the whole team did well over the course of the weekend. We have used a team boost this weekend so we will have to see where that gets us...hopefully we can challenge for points in both the testers and the race series."

P.S. Can somebody also remind me when the activity deadline is please.

Maverick shows disappointment

Reporter: John, how do you feel about the season and your new race drive at ART so far?
JM: Well, obviously I didn't have the start I hoped for. The first two races were rather disappointing...no, actually they were very disappointing. We had heavy trouble in the qualifyings which cost us good positions and when you're fighting in the field, there's high risk that you get in some trouble in the race, too. This is what finally happened in both races. Melbourne was quite a good performance from me, I think, fighting back from nearly the end of the field to at least a 10th position. And Monza...I'm very disappointed that the crew didn't fix my tires properly. But such things happen and I hope the team learns from it. Yet there are again some technical issues here at Montreal, and that really disappoints me now.

Reporter: What kind of issues are you talking about?
JM: Bascially the KERS (boost). We were supposed to use it here at Montreal but the team has heavy problems with it, the guys obviously don't understand it correctly. That's why we had to get it out of the car again and now will start without any additional power. That is, of course, a heavy disadvantage at the long straight here at Montreal.

Reporter: That is indeed a problem. What do you think, will you be competitive without KERS here?
JM: Actually I don't think so. Without this additional power, we'll have to fight very hard for some points, at least. Anything more seems to be rather ridiculous.

Reporter: I suppose so. Thank you very much for your time and good luck to you and the team for the race weekend.
