Qualifying

Afternoon race fans! Ernie B. Ecclescake here to take over from that obscure German RD ;) The weather forecast wasn't looking too good for the qualifying session but the sun is shining on the picturesque Monza circuit.
A little bit of late news coming to us here in the donut van, I mean commentary box, that TNR's radical new car has failed last minute scrutineering because some bits had fell off the car. However those bits have now been glued back on the car by some messy fingers and they are good to go with their new livery.

Let's get on with the action!

First out and first to set a time is the hastily glued together TNR of Horváth.

Snake man Worseling is way off in 2nd.

So is Elleker in his Christel VXR.

Silvestre still some way off as he puts his Tafuro into 2nd.

Jalving gets his MPR much closer.

SCR and Kittleson take pole!

Aston Martin's Warrington cinto 4th.

MAC's Hunsley 5th but still over half a second down on Kittleson.

Oakley continues his good form and doesn't let his recent troubles with the governing body effect his driving.

Greenhalgh close in 4th.

Only for Finland's Karjalainen to steal that 4th place away from the Aussies grasp.

Team Shadow's Greidanus paying back his boss's confidence in him with the pole.

Cartwright makes it 2 & 3 for SCR.

First runs done, here's the current standings.

Horváth is first out again.

Warrington improves his time but not his position.

Hunsley shaves off over a third of a second to jump to 6th.

Silvestre moves up 2 places.

Worseling improves only slightly from 20th.

A massive improvement by Christel's Muller, up 16 places.

Former champ Houston struggling to find a decent time as he finds a little time to improve to 15th from 16th.

Aleksander finds a bunch of time to climb 7 places.

Johnson moves up 2 places.

Karjalainen takes 5th.

Hinz up to 8th.

Greidanus takes another two tenths off his pole time.

2nd runs done.

Top 3.

Elleker up five places.

Greenhalgh puts his Aston Martin on the front row.

Hunsley puts his big mac into the top 5.

Warrington makes it to 9th.

Jalving up to 5th.

Maverick improves his time, not his placing.

Les than twenty minutes to go.

Ed Greenhalgh struggling on his 4th run.

Cartwright too.

Pedersen with 15th.

Houston still languishing down in the bottom half of the grid.

Sheppard hoping no bits flies off as he sets 14th.

Worseling still way down.

Lets take a look at how it stands now.

Maverick takes one thousandth of a second off his time.

ART just can't find a setup as Vilela can only manage 19th.

Pedersen making slight improvements.

As is Worseling, but it isn't getting him very far up the grid.

Stay tuned for the official results.

Slightly disappointed with my qualifying performance this weekend, thought I could get a bit more out of the car
Nice work by Juliano though, hopefully some points for him in the race, and with a bit of luck I may grab some too

Considering we didnt use a team boost this weekend I think you both did really well and I am happy with the performance so far. With good strategies you should both be in with a good shout of some points.

Wow. Well done Ruben (that's a massive gap in respect of the rest of the field).

For SCR, get the **** in there! Great to see me and Ross have a good qualifying session at the same bloody time for once ;)

Sweet! 5th place in qualifying! Could be better, but this is a start for a good weekend for me.. I think a podium is reachable..

Houston in 16th not where we want to be, but I know he can overtake and drive into the points!

"If in doubt, Flat out."
Oh well...it becomes obvious that our rain setup absolutely didn't work out in the dry. Let's simply hope it rains tomorrow...or otherwise...better don't think about that. 17th is...a crap. But at least I was able to beat my teammate.

Ben Johnson was not available for comment but was seen behind the Team Bus performing some kind of dance and looking into the heavens. Research tells us it is an ancient rain dance and boy does he need the rain tomorrow
good pace, some points should be possible

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
Terrible... and, again, my helmet is wrong... I know it because the sponsors!!!

Nice result for Charrel but Matt struggled without the boost here

Still we know Matt can pass and Charrel had a great drive in Melbourne so we are optimistic for the race

Simply not good enough by me there.

8th is not too bad. Ruben seems fast as a misguided monk after a decade of celibacy.
