I too can see the slight problem with the mapping on the "details section", might be able to get round it with colouring in the right places.
I also would like to ask about the shading on the sidepods of the car, are they supposed to be there? It seems like shading generated from nothing?

ive just ran the template in the game and the mismapping is glass so i think we can ignore it also what does everybody think of having a gpg nations cup logo on the cars like this

Ah right yeh i remember seen that on other templates before, completely forgot lol.

For me it would depend how well it fitted with the rest of my livery, but its not a bad idea at all. Would i consider it changing the colours to fit with my livery, maybe yes ;-)

On numbers, well i guess for now you could shove whatever number on... then if it gets decided differently it can always be changed.

it fits well with mostve what colours your livery? and i was thinking we could have the nations abbrevation like in a1gp but i dunno :P

In compliment to my grandfather I would really like to take romania, if possible :-)
I think we should have the GPGNC logo on the cars (but not that one, that one looks crap) and the abbreviations of the name but they need to be all the same for every team or it will look sh*t.

Yup thats possible, you are in :)

Nations abbreviations? As in an alternative to putting the name on the rear wing?

Well... You could use "Turismo de Portugal" and "Águas de Portugal", if you don't mind.

All files must be send in TGA format to me. Thanks

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
I'm quite interested in this and was thinking of entering with Finland. However, I've not painted a car before. I'd like to have a go, but someone will probably have to give me a few basic instructions or pointers. I painted my helmet a while ago. Is it a particularly similar process?

Until when at the latest?
Before 911.

Well guys, honestly. Nations abbreviations are nice and good. But you can't say that everybody needs to have them at the same spot of the car, as you won't find a place on the car where it would fit with any design, despite the rear wing which is already reserved for the full team name. And for example, at my car any abbreviation would totally disappear because the design gives absolutely no doubt for which country the car starts.
I think the team names at the rear wing should be there for every team, but the abbreviations shouldn't be compulsory.

Sorry if this has been suggested before, but why doesn't this series do what Formula BMW did by putting the nations flag on the top of the engine cover, behind the driver's head?

Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!
I am considering a change of nation, purely to ensure a "home race". Given that New Zealand has no available tracks for GP4, I am considering a switch to France, opening up the option of Le Mans, Magny Cours, Paul Ricard etc....
Thoughts on this from GPGNC hierarchy???
Having raised this idea of entering France purely to get a home race, if for any reason a French track is not to be on the calendar, I would just stay with New Zealand, as I have a pretty cool looking livery done for NZ! LOL.

If it's not in the same spot on every car then there is no point in having it.

Well, I don't see the reason why this should be so, but in the end you got my point. We already have the compulsory team names on the rear wing. So, why restrict the design even more with fix abbreviations that point out nothing else than the rear wing?

What I think would be a good idea, however, is the GPGNC logo on the top of the engine cover. Yet, to not slow down the design process, we should agree to one logo soon.
