Hi,

Just re-installed XP and gp4, but GP4 is still jerking around like a ?????.
Running 42.90 Det.
My pc is running faster than ever before, so it must be something in the graphics cfg file???.
What it does is, The game seems to run fine, but when you turn the wheel the wheel in the game seems to hesitate for a second and the game jerks around the PO shoots upto over a 100%
Any ideas what could be causing these??

Better yet if you get 5mins, send us your graphics.cfg so i could try your settings!!

Please !!

System:
athlon 2400+
MSI KT3 ultra2 with 512Mb 333DDR
Geforce4 Ti4200 64Mb DDR
Soundblaster Live! 5.1
Windows XP SP1
Microsoft SW Precision Pro Wheel

Speed is a gift, use it wisely

Ignore what was said about grip levels being different between player and AI. The performance levels are increased so the AI is faster than default and on ace very fast. I think the only way to change the grip levels is within GP4Physics editor which is available but I haven't touched and is exported to .exe anyway.

ok Then! but what has changed with the player car though as before I used the performance file I lapped europe in 1:13:25 and after the quickes I could go was 1:13:70! so my car has slowed down some how! ;-) if you know what I need to change please let me know as the rest of the performance file is spot on!!!

Hi,

I tried to customise the performance file last night so I could slow down the top 4 a bit in the race but had a few problems. The first one is, is when I use GPXpatch to set the performance it does'nt seem to change the game as I gave MS race perforamce of 30000 and he still drove the same lap times?? I know that there is a new verson of the gpxpatch out but i thought v 3.31 supported the performance files??

The only way I could get the performances to change was to use team edit and export the performance to the game which work fine, but the numbers seem to work in reverse as when I lowerd MS performance number he went quicker! ands when I higherd it he went slower which makes it a masive head ache trying to get the performance right!!

Does any one know the best way to change the performances?????????

Thanks for all your help!!

i have some difficulties mapping the car, so someone else is now trying to map it. I don't think it will take much time :)

In the meantime i started to adjust my mp4-17 to the mp4-17D version.
Guyon is now making a livery, so now i will try to finish my tyres with 3d rims. ;)
