Just spent last nine hours making a 2002 wad using various different cars.
Some of them are really good. I hope the Viper & Ghostrider, CTDP
collaboration continues. And the new Jordon by Erik van Leeuwen (carshape)Duco Lammers (textures) is brilliant. Ralph's cars good as always even if struggling with some bugs - just had to say, such strong beautiful looking car, sniff.
Still a fair bit to do, keep it up..

Seen as we're on the topic of cars, got a problem with Toyota by Guyon.
Replaced all prost.gp4 files and the three TEX prost files. I get the shape but the skin is completely white. Just can't think what's stopping the texture from showing??..

If you've updated all of the cars, could you compress your cars.wad with WinRar and post it on the net somewhere?

Thanks

No probs posting a wad, would be around 25mb - only problem is permission. See what I can do.

If you compress with WinRar you can get it to something stupid like about 2MB. That's what we do in my GP4 league, we download a new cars.wad every week!

Thanks a lot

Cool. Only things missing are:
Arrorws car shape
Jaguar car shape
Sauber carshape
A bug free Mclaren
A bug free Toyota
Everything else is fine. Got correct menus gfx, team gfx, wheels, helmets cockpits and a laboured default performance file... :-)

I find them really good, even if their life is short due to the 2003 upcoming season.

Where can I download the cars.wad?

What does it contain ? Only cars or tyres, wheels etc?

Is there also a readme included?

Talking about wheels,it could be possible to have a williams wheel with blue digit numbers instead of red clock-alarm ones?

Thanks in advance

AveryGPFan we meet again on another forum this time...
The hard thing is to get the lisence from creators or finding space on the web?

Hi..
This ones a little busier but not as classy as SRW. hehe
Yea, I agree let ppl make there own wads - or share one on one through icq etc. Have started using Zmodeler, having a few teething problems and don't think the damge model issue's been sorted but should be able to sort a descent sauber2002 shape out within the month:-))

Yeah if the isue for the creators is to take all the credit fine! Just create a Readme.txt giving ALL the credit! Who likes downloading single cars all the time, who not downloading a whole pack (car.wad and even anim.wad) with the most accurate shapes and textures out there?
