that's nice. it's playable at that rate. does the fps drop when there are cars around you? going up a resolution would mean the game would drop to under 24 fps (i would expect - since I can't try it). Not realistic to play games under 24 fps...

you should heed your own advice
The geforce 4 ti series of cards are much better value for money now compared to the MX cards, if the only thing is true direct x 8 compatiblity and wanting to keep it for longer than 6 months.
