Problem with installing cars

I've got 11 cars I want in GP4 all in a seperate Winrar file.
Each has 7 files in it; one is (for example)

car_jordan_car1_lod_0.gp4

other 3 are:

SauberC1994_1(2&3)

and:

hi_SauberC1994_1(2&3)

I've extracted my cars.wad so now I see similar files in there, but how do I install them now?
Do I have to replace them, can I just put them in there or is it more difficult?

Is GP4Master actually necesary, cause I can't seem to start it up. I've read you don't actually need it,
just the programs from ZaZtools, Teameditor and GPXpatch?

you don't need GP4Master, but I like it better. That tutorial is based how I update cars
