an error when saying the teams could have an extra half an hour
SPA GP PREVIEW QUOTES:
M. Aleksander (Team Shadow Subaru)
"Free practice has shown some potential to say the least, let's hope we're as competitive in qualifying. Seeing as 10 drivers have upgraded their grip levels, whilst I've chosen not to, I am cautiously optimistic. I have mixed feeling about the circuit or my racing experience with it, that is, having won in season 1 with Minardi (aka VSM), had great storm through the field in season 3 with MPR, from 20th to third, yet last season I had a dreadful weekend, really struggled.
As for the current season, we really lost a lot of points in previous round at Suzuka, first changeable conditions set us in the middle of the grid in qualy, then I was able to climb to 7th in race and then I made my mistake in T1. At least I scored a point for fastest lap, while finishing last. So, hoping for a better outing here in Belgium. I am still second in the championship, so we have to build on this."

After my comment about the risk of tumbleweed, I get two whole pages to plough through ... excellent :)

Well done JW nice 2nd place, used your double boost to great effect. Not so good for JM, but at least it was a point which showing some great consistency ;)
Really pleasing to see both Aston Martin drivers in the top 5, keep up the good work both of you :)

I'm fairly happy with my 9th place and I didn't use a boost either so thats even better.

And Dean, really really excellent coverage mate. It was humourous and informative, it reminded me of the old motorsport reports from a few years ago. Brilliant! :)

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
Brilliant coverage and I'm well chuffed with 3rd place...my first 'podium' finish in a practice session hopefully more is to come.

I doubted whether to do Monsoon's or not - I decided not too since doing the other 2 already took quite some time ;) A different profile will not be very clear either - so I'll see what I can do to make the difference good visible, probably it'll become a line and then, imo, it should be white but i'll experiment with it, let me hear your thoughts/ideas and ill work with it ;-)

just add a stripe on the wets and - voila, we have monsoons:-)
so ,wets are wets
monsoons are wets with a stripe on.

Yeah seems like a good enough distinction between the two :)

Average practice, disappointed in Joel's performance, he knows what went wrong and will sort it out in Spain. Stu was slightly better I suppose.

Hopefully though, it can help Jethro and Zsigmond in quali and race.

Awful practice for myself, hindered by gearbox issues and difficty to get heat into the tyres.
