Not the best qualy ever, but my racepace is alway's better then my qualy laps.. I expect 2 drivers into the points tomorrow

Race run and won 2 retirements, numerous spins and one very unlucky driver

The race report is written, but too late now to compile the screensgots and upload, so I'm afraid the race will not be posted until tomorrow night at the earliest. And seeing as its valentines day maybe not even then lol

Totally agree!!! This bloke is not sucked into the commercialism that is, Valentines Day..... LOL Yes, i am married, yes i love my wife very much, but.... she aint getting any extra special attention she doesn't warrant! LOL! (It's ok, she knows this, and she wont ever be reading this....i hope! lol

Valentines Day? What, we racers heavily fueled with adrenaline and angst, are going to have to wait a bit longer due to Valentines Day??!! Awwww man.... Hopefully the best thing I kiss today, is a race winning trophy - or at least a point or two in the championship!!

A very happy Michael Pedersen called for a small press conference today
at his home in Helsingborg, Sweden.

"I am very thrilled to announce that van Smirren Motorsports contacted me a few weeks ago about the possibility of a raceseat for season 6.
I am honoured and pleased to announce that i will be driving one of the VSM racecars for next season, i will fight to bring back the team to the
top where it belongs as shown in the first season.

I want to thank Rico van Smirren for giving me this oppertunity after only 1 season. And i would also like to thank SCR for giving me the oppertunity to drive for them this season and i will continue to fight til the end for them so we can finish of in style"

That means the line-up for VSM S6 will be Ben Johnson and Michael Pedersen, if I recall correctly. Fearsome test duo there.

Most likely he flew back already, as the tester's session is done. And as the qualifying is done as well, he couldn't jump into the race car anymore, even when one of the race drivers couldn't drive.

/addition: I wish you all the best, Michael, for your time at VSM. I really enjoy it here and I suppose you'll do as well, next season.

Race Day

Yee-haw! Howdy folks! The track has been swept clear of the groundhog carcasses left by yesterdays qualifying session and we are ready for a race!

They are on their marks.


Goooooooo!


Dean Kittleson has already been passed by 4 cars. Houston locks up into the first corner.


He catches Cartwright and then spins.


Cartwright loses 4 places as Santilal leads Greenhalgh.


Houston in last place.


Back straight and everyone files down into the left hander.


Nearing the end of the first lap and Santilal still leads.


Fastest lap to Santilal.


1st Santilal, 2nd Greenhalgh, 3rd Maverick, 4th Hinz, 5th Cartwright.



Hinz out breaks himself and barges Maverick.


Both spin out.


Maverick rejoins in 6th after nearly causing a pile-up. Hinz is not so lucky.


Santilal with another fastest lap.


Cartwright now in 3rd.



Aleksander still down in 16th.


Houston now 18th.


Cartwright with a new fastest lap.


Maverick is again assaulted from behind, this time it's Walters.



Walters loses his front wing in the incident.


Maverick lucky in only falling to 8th.


Somogyi also lost a front wing in that accident.


Aleksander held up by a slow Somogyi as Cartwright sets another fastest lap.


Marko loses out to Jalving, Houston and Vilela.





Walters a lap down.

Well, in 4 laps ive shown I managed to stay away from any chaos at the start. Next to that I managed to climb 3 positions! Just did a nice overtaking action..

Pitstops begin, Greenhalgh is first to blink.

Greenhalgh right behind Maverick.


Maverick gets hit again!


Loses out only to his team mate Copeman though.
