Sorry. Not yet. Havent played spa with 2010 cars yet. If you have a good setup for Barcelona, you can use it as a starting Point. :-)

Thanks mate, for yr reply.....

I will try this, I have tried several setups, but man the 2010 Cars are VERY VERY Different from my previous mod which was of 2007..........

Imagine, I have raced SPA in ACE Level in the 2007 mod, took Pole Position (I race with keyboard) & won the race!

Then......

I try same race, that is, SPA, but in SEMI-PRO Level but now in 2010 mod...& hey I'm bloody useless & slow!! I really need help with 2010 car setups, cos can't get it working to the way I would like to...The mod is brilliant, but I am the same driver, so it's frustrating, when normally I'm attacking for pole position, & now in 2010 mod I'm languishing between 17-22 place!

PLEASE HELP!

The problem is not your driving...most performance files for 2010 are waaaay higher than those of 2007, that's why you are 'slow' compared to the other drivers. Do you play using CSM?

tks Jucksman,

yes I do play through CSM.......

I definitely understood that performance was waaaaaayyyy different comparing 2007 ->>>> 2010 mods, however I need someone to help me set up the car go not faster, but MUCH FASTER!!!!!

I know my driving aint bad, considering I use the keyboard.....but when in STRAIGHT LINE, I am NOT EVEN faster than a 'back of the grid' team, something is really bad & needs a big change in the set up!

Can somebody provide some 2010 set ups please??? I have improved my timing with a few tenths, however still bloody slowww!!

Probably something to do with the magic data and/or physics of the mod. What perf data are you using? Are you using the physics recommended for that data? Start a new thread, list your problem then put:

Physics:
Performance data:

If you're not using the correct physics with the right data, that might be your problem.

Yes could be...

I have never dared tweaking anyphysics... I only leave the physics as default, as I am no expert in this field!
However today tried different PHYSICS , & yes there are 4 available with 2010 mod....

I think JK V8 mod is d best of them all.. BUT STILL Computer Cars ARE MUCH MUCH FASTER!!

If anyone here knows who JK is, please let him know that I would like to contact him........

If you are reading this JK, will be good so we can get in touch!

Thanks4all!

as I said in one of my previous posts,

I have 4 different Physics to choose form , in the CSM Mod.....

So far the best I found was of V8 JK 2010.....

But STILL WAY TOOOOO SLOW compared with computer cars... & this is in SEMI-PRO Level......!!!

In GPxPatch, you should have performance data, which tells GP4 the performance of each car on track and the name of the driver. It's in a text file (txt) and should be somewhere in your CSM mod, either race specific or generic. Race specific is one performance data text file for each race, generic is averaged out over the whole season, and is one text file.

Like I said before, to get the best combination you have to use the physics that the creator of the performance data used. It should say this somewhere in the readme of the performance data.

Most people make race specific performance data, but I prefer to use generic performance data, which I work out in Excel, simply by adding up all the performance data from one driver and dividing by the number of data entries.

I've found Cyberacers 2010 reality pack for you to use. Link: [www.filefront.com]

I'm looking for some 2010 performance file. Keep waiting, I'll link here when I find some!

PS. Remember to read the readme of Cyberacer's 2010 reality pack, it can be quite difficult to install; everything, like how to install, is included in that file!

tks msater 4yr reply...

however I prefer not to do the tweak myself, as it's a field that most probably I'll f*ck up for sure!!..Then... no more racing hehehe!

Would appreciate to get in touch with JK.... unless JK is 'jucksman' here on the forum!..................:-O

Great topic :)

One point on physics... I seem to remember from testing GP4 a few years back that actually patching your GP4.exe with a Physics file using GP4Phys, has a different effect to selecting the physics file in GPxPatch. Seems to interpret the physics differently on which method you use..

Any one else notice this?

And which method do you use to update your physics?

:-)

If you upload the mod by RARing it using WinRAR or similar, give me the link in a PM and I'll patch it for you and sort out any other issues you have with it!

Although I've stopped playing GP4, I haven't lost the fire of modding it quite yet :)

Interesting...

I never knew there was a difference.

I go down the GPxPatch route, but i'll patch the exe itself to see if can notice a difference :)

I have downloaded a file with 17 setups for different tracks in it. It is full of CS(then random letter) files. Could anyone tell me which folder to put them in as it doesn't say in the readme?

You can put them wherever you want anyway and just load them up individually when you go into Car Setup, but GPSaves is the default.
