GPGTV interview with Marko ALEKSANDER

Marko, you have qualified sixth, seem happy with it?
Well, obviously it's not a pole position that I have been providing in the past, but is a good starting point for the race especcially if you consider I had no boost.
I have some qualy problems this season, really unusual for me, given my stats. All I can say the car doesn't have enough grip and is too nervous with certain tyres compound.Once they are up to temeperatures it's a ok. Houston is next on the grid, while Oakley back in 8th row, so it's interesting for the championship

Your race pace in last 5 races has been spectacular though
I wouldn't say spectacular, it's been very good, yeah, but I am still not completely where I wanna be - form wise. There's a little something missing compared to last season, and I believe I have reserve.
Considering we have stopped developing the car after Monaco,where we won, it's damn good too.

Why did you stop enhancing the car so early?
Well,our strategy had to be tweaked. Neither team or me arent interested battling for best of the rest position, titles are where it's at.
So we took our chances and paid off. If anyone can rememeber how behind we were at round 3,It's funny how Velox and TSS seems to have been concerned with eachother and MPR got them just where we wanted them, and now we are neck and neck with them. I certainly didn't expect to have such bad start to the season apart from Monza, after winter testing.
But I think I performed on a very high level since - ussually with an underpowered car.

So race plans?
Keep the car on the track (laughs)
Obviously you've won here last year?
It was a dry race to begin with. Car was actually more to my liking. Had more grip.
But yes I am the reigning king of the Hungaroring and I'll do my best to defend the title.
However in such conditions, all bets are off.Needless to say I apprecciate the support of fellow Slovenians who showed up in great numbers despite bad weather.

I took 600 (!) screenies, will have to edit it down to 100+,
that tells it was a race to watch!
