I didn't upgrade to Vista but will be upgrading from32bit XP to 64 bit Win 7. Anyone know if GP4 and all common programs such as CSM/TSM GPXpatch will work. Some websites i have looked at say some older programs don't work well in 64bit Operating systems.

I'm using Win7 but 32bits... It works perfectly with GP4, GPXPatch, TSM and the editors and utilities. But I don't know with the 64bits version...

I don't know if it is related to Win 7 (32 bit) but last time i had a CTD GpxPatch error log said me I had 1024 mb of RAM, while I have 2000 mb

do you guys nvidia or ati graphic card

i have ati and win7 and gp4 doesn't like each other and didn't get it working yet.

I have windows 7 rc 64bit and a Nvidia 8800gts, any driver over 178.24 seems to break AA settings within GP4 (I.E forcing AA doesnt work, and it looks rubbish), but the 178.24's crash Windows 7 as they are only meant for vista, Im struggling.. and am pretty worried about the way the nvidia drivers are going seeing as they have broken AA in one of my favourite games!

Try to set the number of multisamples in the release section of your f1graphics.cfg to 16.

hi folks, strange thing here... cant find the f1graphics.cfg file in the main folder to change the resolution... :O
do not have any hidden files or something, only the file is not there... gp4 is runnung fine..even without that file?!
whats that? running win7 32 bit.
can someone point me to the trick?!?

Hey there. I have just installed gp4 on my new pc which has windows 7. It works when I run the original gp4, but when I try to run it using gpxpatch it crashes when you enter a race or qualifying etc. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

Ive just installed windows 7 and gp4 but my PO has gone through the roof. When im going around corners it goes in slow motion. Ive run gp4 on win7 before and didnt have this problem. Im running x64 and nvidia card.

Anybody have this problem?

i think its a common problem with windows 7 x64, my po was under 50 on xp with max graphics,but in windows 7 it was through the roof, since i upgraded my graphics card its been fine, less than 70 at the start dropping down to about 15 during the race, i think the lack of hardware acceleration on windows 7 with the older cards could be a big problem

i have several strange problems using gp4 on w7 with ati radeon hd 5800 series. I did a fresh installation buy i face several strange problems.
- replay can only set to 1 minute (maximum)???
- when i try to install gp4 patch i get following message; patch already installed??? but when i check settings in game i still have version 1.00?
- there is no in game sound??? when i start gp4 i can hear the music but when i start to drive no sounds at all

help me pls?

anyone who can help me? i bought myyself a new pc and now i can't play gp4 anymore.
