Wow, I was amazed when I voted on what driving position most people used to find that everyone else doesn

While i find that the cockpit view incorparating the visor is without a doubt the most realistic view, i find that my lap times suffer dramaticly if i use this view instead of the T-Cam.

dont know... never used or even tried anything else than cockpit-view. maybe it has something to do with getting old and unflexible.

i found that the track seemed too narrow using the helmet cam, yet i used to have to drive that way in gp3, strange eh?

also the steering seems a bit different too in the helmet cam, too much turn when the wheel is moved, yet in T-cam mode its fine.

i would love to drive in the helmet cam mode but i cannot drive it fast enough to be competitive

I can't keep the damn thing on the road with the helmet cam let alone go fast. like LS said, the wheel turns far to much it really puts me off

That makes me feel much better for being slow. I love helmet cam and with the visor, it

well i don't use it, but everybody knows that the T-Cam give us more sensation of speed.. maybe is because of that

I'm agreeing with LS in that the track seems too narrow in cockpit view...

Also, T-Cam seems to be a lot more forgiving when u enter a corner too fast. Easing off the throttle brings the nose in a lot more in T-Cam compared to cockpit view.

In T-Cam, I'm able to use the kerbs a lot more effectively and hence go much faster, but I feel like I'm cheating cos Schumacher, Montoya, Coulthard and Co don't sit on the roll bar when they're driving do they??!! Of course they don't, or else their legs would block the airflow into the engine airboxes...

In fact, a lot of the time, their vision is obscured by their hands and steering wheel

Well as far as I am concerned, anyone thats drives in any other position other than "IN CAR" is playing in "Arcade" mode....... hot

You want a "Sim", then drive like one........
If you find it harder, then so what, sims are meant to be harder then arcade......

I have never driven, flown or played any sim other in "IN" the vehicle.......

i would love the head to pan according to where u steer

but it would have to be speed sensitive as don't want your head to move alot when ur going down a log straight as u would when entering the 1st corner @ Monza

A lot of people play in T-cam because PO is much lower.

I always found that in car is really restrictive, you don't see very much, and it feels a little fake.....too safe, maybe.

Well I am sure a Real F1 car with crash helmet on is more restrictive than The T cam, however F1 drivers dont drive with the veiw "Tcam", so neither will I..... :-)

I could never understand GPL drivers using the "F10";(Back of the car) view either?????????????

I understand what you mean....but in the end its more important to have fun, with a tiny bit less realism than all out realism and finding it less fun and too difficult.

I agree with Simon...the Tcam has that "game over - insert coin" flavour...

I play with Cocpit cam, it took me a while, but my lap times are faster than with the T-cam

I hate driving with the T-cam, altho its easier, u can see over cars in front and see over the spray

yeah i agree, it reminds me of the old atari coin-op pole position :-)

if crammond could make the helmet cam easier to drive ( and its a definate fault in the coding, i.e the tracks too narrow and the steering is way too strong) then i wou;d drive from helmet cam everytime

especially if crammond included individual steering wheels and cockpits

Well L.S. it would seem to me that with F1 cars having very "Direct sterring" compared to a road car (have you driven a Go-Kart?) it should be "strong".. feels ok to me.......

Also, when your sat very low in an F1 car the track would look alot thinner than from the Tcam???.....

Making it easier........... who the hell wants its easier??....... I want it realistic and it still feels more realistic "In CAR" than "ON CAR".....

Maybe its a personal thing, but its the way I feel....... :-)

well i use t-cam because the cockpit view is totally munted compared to gp3

its a weird view, it seems liek i'm goin 60km/h down the straights instead of 300, and it seems to go faster around the corners.. like 230 instead of 100 wtf??
