It's a crime how these conversions are made. All the promises of improving quality... BS, not to mention shoddy physics. Much better if the GP4 team re-released their stuff to rFactor, the quality would be superior.
No disrespect to the original authors, but it feels a lot more fun to drive to me than the GP4 version did. And I can't see why on earth is it a crime to have the same content in different games/sims.

It does need a couple adjustments as fast corners seems a little too easy to drive flat. I'd say it needs less downforce and more engine power.

A quick one from me (it's been a while!)

Thanks!

It's not a crime to have the same content in different games but the rFactor conversion is just that, a port of the GP4 models and textures over to rF with no visible update/upgrade in anything. And people shouldn't beat real F1 times, maybe match but just if they're those incredibly good sim racers, which I don't think the converting team has. It's fun to drive something that makes me think of 1991 but I prefer less arcadey stuff.
Hello Gui, long time no see!! I was thinking the other day about our old F1C online championship days :D

And I don't think there's anything wrong with porting a mod to another game without doing any improvements.

People aren't beating the 1991 laptimes with these cars. I checked the laps of real Formula 1 at Spa that year, Senna did a 1:47 in qualy while in the race the fastest lap was 1:55. The other night I was online, the quickest alien on the server did a 1:52. Seems like a good enough compromise to me. I remember you can't have special qualy engines in rFactor, and these early league physics only have a generic "dry" compound tyre, no distinction between qualy/race tyres (which is indeed a big flaw). Hopefully when the real full mod is out, with specific physics for each team, this will be improved, and things will resemble reality a little closer - I remember this is just an early "league edition" of the mod.

Sorry if I got a bit defensive about this and started an argument in a thread that is usually clean about this sort of drama. It's just that I've been having some of my most fun online races ever with these cars, and thought your criticism wasn't being fair. Thanks to the folks who started this originally for GP4, and also the folks who are converting it. Hope we can settle this now and get back to people posting screenshots. :)
I understand you, paranoiko, relax :P. It's just too many mods I'd love to have don't meet my expectations, and I don't have the time to learn the modding by myself so it sucks, hehe.

Iain, remember my "hotlap" in Sepang, where I even pulled to the side of the road and parked? ;)
AHh the good old days :)

That is some @#$%& straight answer.. I appreciate that :) Respect..

Now, don't let your lazyness get any worse, and just keep your screens coming.. They look just fine!

Spidey, this was everything but offensive.. I really think your screens are the better ones in this forum :) I really like what you're doing, but just try to push yourself further and further. Try to do new things everytime you take/edit a screenshot.

When I took the original screenshot from my sig, I didn't have a clue on how to make that one look like a rainy one. I just opened it in Photoshop and experimented with a looot of tools, and I mean a LOOT ;), to get what I got afterwards..

This is how I do it, and what you can do too.. Just keep on pushing your barrieres and limits :)

Edit:

BTW, don't know if I already posted this, but anyways.. I like how this turned out :)
