some news for you :) i've finally updated all tracks 2001 with the hi res boxes and pitstands from matt, added wheelguns and fueltanks from mr pibb aswell as new skytex and skydomes, so if i can get the permissions from Ricardo Lampert, Matt and mr pibb to release the tracks, it would be very nice, because i like to share the tracks with you, to save a lot of work for all of you :)

here are two sample screens

Yep, these shots look great.
Don't forget to ask me the authorisation for the pitcable and the jip mapping textures ;)
Nevermind, I created them for everyone to use it.

quickslick, you dont need permission from Ricardo Lampert! Ricardo modified original Geoff Crammond copyrighted commercial gp4 work, so there is no point in asking him for permission. Ricardo never made any tracks from scratch, only used pre existing tracks, changed a few texs and put his name on it, some people would associat this with leaching. But there is unspoken acceptance of Ricardos modifying of Geoff Crammonds work by grandprixgames members. so dont bother asking him for permission, it will slow you down in your work, and to me it feels like it would be hypocrytical of Ricardo to say either yes or no to your request as he never made the tracks!

doesn't matter, i'll ask everyone for permission who worked on the files before i've updated them. It don't cost anything to ask and i can be sure that there's nothing will be wrong later:)
