******The new WTCC 2008 Mod by msater******- More Shapers needed. Are YOU going to volenteer to help on this fantastic mod?

Hi,

I recently was reading Andy Priaulx's biography (three times WTCC champion), and I got inspired to create a 2008 WTCC mod for GP4. Now, obviously I'm going to need some help with this, as it's such a big mod, so if you would like help, please PM me. Ideally I need a maximum of around 6-7, but I could easily work with 3-4.

I will update this post reguarly with who will be helping with the mod, so if you want to help, but don't want your name/username in this thread, say so in the PM. The mod is from scratch, not a conversion by the SimBin game, Race 07.

As you can see, we're going to need one or two more shapers. Anyone volenteering to shape a Seat, Hona or Chevrolet? David (Racervieh13) is doing the BMW, and I'm (msater) rubbish at shaping, so...

if you are doing it from scratch, I will be glad to help you with helmet and car textures

kinda, but i stop start. so i'll start one, leave it for a week or so, start it again, go to another one.

not yet, but i'm learning. i'll show an example soon. if i'm not very good at it, i'll get somebody to help me. i'm ok at texturing though.

I took a look at the calendar: we have brno and oschersleben from dtm mod, monza, imola (but old layout) and ti aida (1994 version). Ah and estoril is w.i.p

This is full 2008 calendar:

02 March BRAZIL Curitiba => N/A

Why do a mod for GP4 when you could just to the car skins and any additional cars for Race07! The physics will never been the same from GP4 to having WTCC. Not questioning the project, just think that it would be wiser to focus Touring Cars into a different game.

If you were wanting to do the A1GP mod, or the new "football racing" mod, then cool. But seems a lot of work for when Race or GTR has all the stuff already.

That is just my opinion!

yeah, but if you don't have Race07 or GTR, like me, I want to race as Anduy Priaulx. Anyway, the other games don't have 2008 season.

Besides all that GP4 is the best racing simulator, and we NEED a WTCC mod 2008 for GP4!!

You really don't know how much time you'll need to invest in a mod like this... So good luck, but you really need to know what you're doing

well starting right now this mod and from scratch as you say ... with experienced ppl working dedicated to it , IMO should take more or less 1 year and more for one with average to modest quality work... and this is being very optimistic of course, anyways hope you have tranquility to assess the correct decisions, and compromise with the responsability that is this work , with that i'm sure it'll be a good one !

If you want an idea for the time who take a mod to build. I work on shape for the 1998 Mod since 1 year and at this time i have only made 8 different shape (else i made the helmet + tyre shape).
