tex file question

I downloaded the new Force India car and would like to put it in the original game version, where Minardi correspond to FI now, and without using CSM in any way.
What do I do with all the.tex files, whose naming system doesn't seem to correspond with the tex files in the original cars.wad. Do I just stick them in there?
I would like to know what to edit, I have looked at the car editing guide guide, but it doesn't say what to do with tex files and I don't really follow what wadupdater says.
Any advice would be much appreciated :)
Thanks

Just put them in mate, texture files don't have to overwrite old ones, only lods

Thanks, do I have to delete the original tex files for the replaced team though?
How will GP4 know which car I want the new force india tex files to apply to?
Is that info contained in the renamed-to-FI .GP4 files?
I'm sure if I understand the process and relevant files it'll all make sense in the end ;)

not necessary but you can keep your wad small and loading times short if you delete the original tex files

Yeah like n00binio said, its the lod files that know which tex files to use

Hope that helps mate :)
