Grand prix 4 & who plays it...*** modding *****

i don't quite understand what jimbob is talking about. i can see that community is getting weaker, it's more about posting screens then modding now, and i too think that some years ago here was more great guys that were working on models, track etc. but i don't think there's a way to turn back the time... people always comes and go, they leave due to their personal motivation and i think we won't make them stay if we form a development team... or maybe i just didn't understood, sorry...

anyway i would be glad to see any move forward in this area and surely would like to participate in this.

I agree with you Mark..

I will continue to do trackupdates for GP4 least until Blimey! Games will release their "Ferrari project" game, because game looks very promising and if physics are "good and realistic" for f1 car and it's moddable, it's goodbye, old lady.

for sure theres alot of posting screens....but there are still a lot of
people modding the game..look at the recent dtm mod ?
i've had a lot of positive feeback from this post & a small team is working away as we speak.......

The last couple of months it seems that more people are modding the game and only a few people is still playing the game.

For example the release of the DTM 2005 mod, the most complete mod so far for GP4, but there where not many reactions in the thread imo as you would expect when such high quality mod is finally released.

It would be a shame if there high quality mods and tracks are developed for GP4, but only for die hard GP4 players, cos the rest have moved on to other newer racing games.

yeah, maybe your right, but I'm still convinced (and I hope I'm not the only one) GP4 is more fun then it's opponent rFactor, it just runs smoother etc
and as long as the people making the mods have fun ...

Jimbob already knows I am up for stuff, and I do have limited skills but I don't give up. Proof is the Alex Waters helmet I was working on and only needed to put sponsors on to finish, basically. I am about to finish uni and I do believe I will have some time to do stuff, at least until footy tryouts come along for the Columbus Crew. But I'd like to join a group to do stuff for others and hopefully have it converted to rFactor and/or GTR 2 so I can play with it too

Well, I speak for myself : when I play GP4, it's the straight of the box game because it's what is used in a large part of the hotlap leagues.

I'm also working on a track, and I plan to build two others, and i won't stop until I myself don't enjoy the game.
