Hi,
About the non-csm version, would it be possible to create a simple version of the mod? I mean a mod with just one car livery for each team, one performance file with avverage season performance? This would make the download a lot smaller.

Also, is it possible to change the track files so I can use the tracks without CSM/TSM? I have tried this with Zandvoort but it doesnt seem to work. I also tried Spa and this worked! I use Zandvoort as Montreal2001, so I renamed all the zanvoort files in the zandvoort.wad to montreal2001 and created my onw new wad-file (montral2001.wad) but when I start the game, it looks like there's something wrong with the height of the track. The car and the AI cars seems to be driving under the scenery....The games doesnt crash.

Can somebody explain me what I am doing wrong?

you need ot open the DAT in cmagic and add the field Prefix and then montreal2001 for it to work

Or rename it to S1CT08.dat

And to patch the exe for the startlights but if you can use the MD for the dat, i don't know. The MD we use for TSM track is a different one from the orginal MD's, but you can try it. If cars get stuck in the pitlane during their pitstop, it didn't work.

load them in tsm and than you'll have them all in your "track-folder" at the main gp4 folder ;-)

You only need to rename the tracks to get them on the slot you want :)

Install TSM + CSM. [Make sure you have GpXpatch installed too..]
Download DTM Trackpack.
Open TSM, select "install track"
Select DTM Trackpack, TSM will now uncompress the tracks in your GP4 \ Tracks folder.
Select the track profile in TSM, and click "Load Tracks". [You may now quit TSM]
After that, start the game through GpxPatch.
You'll now have all the tracks in your game menu.

Tested and working..

If you want to revert back to original tracks, just open TSM and click "unload tracks"

Well, renamig is still possible..but more work than using TSM. Sorry for you because TSM is a really handy tool and you can use it without CSM.

And you grab every opportunity to express that. And when I offered help you said you can't be bothered, nor did you give (and still don't) give) more comment than "it doesn't work" "always trouble" etc.
Making comments like these aren't of any value to anyone.

Oh well...
Here's another attempt:
-Clean installation of gp4 (don't touch other editors until it works to rule out other problems)
-Install gpxpatch.
-Install ZaZ Tools
-Run updater to download the latest versions
-Run patchdownloader to install the 9.6 patch + decrypted exe
-Run CSM/TSM and follow directions to locate the fresh GP4 installation.

This has been tested on many computers and has been proven to work. CSM and TSM are quite picky when it comes to the base installation, but once that is ok, there are very little known problems that are really due to CSM or TSM.

If you don't want to try, that's fine, but then please do me a favour.
Don't complain as it is not helping anyone.
I'm still willing to help, so if you want help, you know how to find me.

it works for me fine without TSM

this is how i did it
1) Install the DTM Trackpack
2) Open the GP4 Directory/Tracks folder and find the track that you want
3) Open the wad and work out which slot the track should be in (look for folders/files such as 'montreal2001, hockenheim2001 etc'
4) Rename the wad to the correct slot and put the dat/wad in the usual folders
5) Open the dat in cmagic, add 'Prefix' and then the slot name (ie. montreal2001). You can also increase the number of laps to f1-standard if you want by adding a laps field then the desired amount of laps.
6) Open GPxPatch and in the GPxTrack field put the dat in any slot.
7) Open GP4 and go to the slot that you put the track in and enjoy the track

it may sound complicated, but it only takes one minute once you get used to it and it allows you to use it as you would any original GP4 track.

If it's not that much work, would it be possible to release the track separately? I just want to try zandvoort....

Everything worked fine for me. Thanks for all the work guys.

I have only one problem. The graphics are no where near the graphics on the screenshots. There also arent up to par with the graphics for the 2005 F1 mod. I selected high resolution on the mod's configurables. Any ideas?
