Me too, actually i am a bit worried about the future of gp4. Maybe we need to start a new topic about the future of gp4 and try to get some people back to this community....

But thank you all for your kind words, for me after exactly 2 years work on the tracks i'm happy about the release of the mod and the result of it. But most credits should go to Tony, who worked so hard to get this mod done.

I have posted some feedback at GrandPrixx.Forum but I will repeat my words :)

The quality of this mod is unbelievable and it shows that deidacted and patient work is something special. For sure, we've waited a long time but now we see that it was totally worth the wait :)
I hope that impatient people keep this in mind concerning other projects which take a lot of time and stop declaring them to be dead.

I already posted too a message. The work is fantastic. About three years I think. Just for our pleasure. Isn't it a meaning, for all the team, to prove their friendship for us all ? I know to find the words in french, but it's so hard to find them in english. So I hope it's understanding I really enjoy the work, the mod and the kind attention. Thanks and congratulations !

Just thought I'd add my thanks to all involved for an excellent mod! Perhaps the reason for so few replies is that the 'nitpickers' are struggling to find anything to criticise as it really is that good!

ok, i found something. at oschersleben, i found a mistake with the track cameras at 'Bilstein' chicane. it flicks around to several other views for a few seconds when the cars go past (most of the time)

I think the problem I was having with too slow AI cars is exclusive to Zandvoort (altho I haven't raced much on the other tracks, so can't say for sure), and my guess would be that the problem is in the cc-line. For example, there's one corner that I always take flat out and the AI cars clearly lift quite a bit! Looking at the .dat file the cc-line actually looks fine there, which is weird, but in the final corner they seem to take a far too wide line.

I might try to correct it but I'm not that good yet with cc-lines. Anyway this is just a small thing, which can easily be fixed. Otherwise the mod is fantastic, no words to describe it, etc. :)

I have white cars! Settings in CSM are: Textures-High, Use lod_0-disabled.
Settings in GP4 graphics advanced are: Textures-High, Car Geometry-High, Bump-Mapping-on, Shadows-Off, Reflections-Off.
Any clues to resolve this issue, TIA Mal

@conley12; 1. in the dtm-mod dir data/performance/; here you can change the performance files.
2. by using -/+ on your keyboard

@briere; i think the physics are quit good, Tony did a good job on them but 5/6 sec seems a bit fast, i will take a look. Maybe we can improve a bit....

@Ruboy; i saw your remarks on the x forum; thanks. About the micro time; sorry no idea, i think Tony can fix it. About the shadows; i had the same problems but i adust my cfg. file and it was fixed. I have to find out what i did change i will let you know. About the cc lines (Brno and Lausitzring) to be honest, i am pritty poor in making those. Erik did some work on Brno's, i don't know if it was in the trackpack. I will see if i can improve them a bit.

@schueyfan; ha i didn't do that track, but i will take a look at it.

@paranoik0; same as my awnser to Ruboy, you can be right about the cc. Actually i did pay a lot of attention to this cc-line, rebuild it some times. Maybe it needed more be tested out. The corner you told you are going flat out and the AI's are lifting, is it the Slotemakers corner? I always try to take that corner flat out, but i always end up in the wall. Do you drive on the ace-level?

@mortal: it looks likes there is something wrong in your graphics setting but i have the same setting as you. Maybe Tony can help you out with this problem, sorry.

Thank you all for your nice words and feedback, which is very usefull for us. So we can improve this mod, try to make it perfect for everyone.

Grtz

The AI take the Slotemakercurve the right way. In reality there's a nasty bump where you're going down towards the Scheivlak so you have to lift in order to stay on track. The player does not feel that bump so he can go flat out. Maybe by adding a bump to the bump table makes it a bit more realistic?

Totally awesome work, and the people who'rent posting about this fantastic release. Well, you always have some of those. Inpatiently asking for the release and when it's so far just download it and not saying very nicely "Thank you", it says more about those people in my opinion then about the quality of this work, because the quality is perfect :)

Looking forward to other mods of this team's hands but till that time this mod will give me fun enough, I'm sure :)

great job!

but is it normal a lot of the carwindows are white most of the time?

+ lausitzring doesn't have a minimap when you shoose circuits
+ did the DTM use the F1 pits at spa? I thought they use the alternative starting grid & pits, just like most of the other series do
