Elimeno Raceway is another fictional oval circuit that just needed finishing off.

It is one mile (1.6km) long in the middle of a city. The turns are not quite full speed so its easy to misjudge them. Lap time is about 18 seconds with the 2006/07 mod.

The track is PLUS compatible, HD, and TSM ready.

Big thanks to MarioB for helping out, Zaz for TSM and other tricks, and of course, Lo2k for GP4 Builder :)
Thanks to Kev and Erwin too for the muppets, and HoldenRT and TTM for the sky :)

It can be a bit buggy due to the banking (the bin/track don't line up well on banked turns) and the pit entry and exits aren't perfect. But I've ran a few 99 lap races and only once or twice the cc cars have had trouble getting into the pits.

WOOOW!!! Really nice oval Tony!!

...i was wondering if next oval tracks can go in opposite direction (counter clockwise), like real oval racing...

Back to basics... I feel like a newbie! hahahahaa!!!

That looks like a good one, good job. :-)

But I have a suggestion : why don't you release a TSM and a non-TSM version ? I mean, TSM is a great tool, and I'm in those who use it, but I don't see the point in making it compulsory to play your tracks. Some people here don't want to use it and I think it's unfair to take your tracks off from them. Same thing about Mods and CSM, even though CSM brings brand new features compared to "classic" Mods.

EDIT : by the way, modern ovals are always anticlockwise

b-tone, ovals in US and US racing series generally run counter clockwise. Your track runs clockwise. Any thoughts about changing direction cars run so that they are going around track counter clockwise alla US oval tracks?

you dont have to use tsm for this track. click on the tuh file, and then extract the dat/wad from GP4 Folder/Tracks/Elimeno

superb track tony, thanks!

btw, can you do 100+ lap races in gp4?

@Schueyfan : I know you only have to have it installed, but what does it cost to release an extra non-TSM version ? Nothing but one minute !!!

By the way, with GP4Builder or CMagic, you can set race distance up to 127 laps.

Problem :P

Ok, I've downloaded the track, extracted the .tuh file, renamed Elimeno.wad a1ring2001.wad, overwriten my previous wad and put the dat in slot 6

I open GP4 via CSM with the 2004 mod, and I get his :

But when I open the .gp4, I see this :

I know that the gamers.nl 2004 mod is provided with dat files, but i sort of disabled them (deleted the files, the folder, and the entry in the correct ini file). But still, it's wad related, and not dat related :s

Oh and you got my PM Tony ? :)

Thanks for the nice comments :)

@Briere - yep, I'll just reply now :)
It looks like you have monaco wad in slot 6 - original was slot 7.

I'll only be releasing mods and tracks using Zaz Tools. Its been pointed out how to extract the files (and might be getting simpler soon), and I've not seen a good reason to not use TSM yet - the advantages are too great :)

open the dat in cmagic and add 'Prefix' in the first box and 'a1ring2001' in the corresponding box on the right. that will group those to together and you can then play the track in any slot

thanks for the info gusgus!

That's the funny thing. My monaco2001.wad is using slot 7 and the a1ring2001.wad contains Elimeno data :s
