How is a race going to be run? How are all drivers going to be able to compete with the time difference? Most of the participants in the current gpg series are in it ONLY because they do not have to drive. Therefore many teams and drivers are excuded or will be excluded because either they cannot meet the race schedule, or they do not wish to drive, or they do not have rfactor. It cannot be affiliated with the existing WGP and W300 as it has no chance of performing as well as they currently do. Australian teams and drivers will be automatically excluded due to the time difference. The majority would rule so races would be run European time. What if there was not a full grid, some teams would lose points because they did not have drivers. I don't see how it is going to work properly is all. Having seen some of the races on rFactor, ie: total mayhem, for it to work you need a closed race with firm commitment from a full grid, pwd the race etc. Results would not be based on some unknown joining the server and driving a team owners car. I know it is a good idea, but has it been thought through yet, while everyone is rushing to convert and design a mod based on the gpg series, there's been little consultation on how it is actually going to work
While we are still trying to promote the gpg series, and still have problems with the actual running of races, not enough directors, more test drivers needed etc. do we really need to be breaking away from the original series? Just a few thoughts on it.
