In the Environment settings (Rendering/Evironment in the menu) look for the Atmoshpere settings and add the Fog effect. Then set up the Fog parameters to get the best result :)

I thought this would be the best thread to ask my question..

Would like to ask what I could do about this problem.

I have this problem often as I'm rendering quite many cars.

At this shot of 3DEditor you'll see a dark grey area, where the red squares are.

There isn't any problem if you look at it in ZM as it isn't showing those grey area's. But after importing the car in my rendering program I get a black area, and it isn't fun, as it ruïns the whole render:

This is a whole other shape, but this is quite the same effect.

First, I thought it were faces that were crossing the bodywork from the inside to the outer side. It isn't that, how to solve this problem??

@Floris
No, as far as I know... Just removing those faces in the interior of the car. The problem is not that they are passing through, but that they are overlapping...

@WebberFan
No, Zmod has not a render system... ;)

@ oggo

-----------------

Yea, tried that.. and I looked if it was if for example the radiator was too high.. deleted the upper 2 faces of the radiator.. but no difference :(

And if I looked good, there was a whole empty area under the sidpod behind the radiator... no objects... but awfull much noise!

Really have to solve this problem.. and without holes in the bodywork :(

Floris, is not an inner object which is causing the problem. It's the car body that has 2 surfaces overlapping in the rear part, for the damage model. You've got to delete the inner surface of the body, not the inner objects as radiators, etc... :)

Ok, because I'm not a shaper and cannot shape, I obvious didn't mind that faces where visible at 1 side. So didn't think of the bodywork had to sides, I thought the bodywork had 1 surface, and if I deleted 1 face I would delete it from the inside AND outside.. It isn't like that ofcourse. So what I've done is watched to the bodywork from the bottom, deleted the faces that WERE (!) black and it worked. First, I thought you couldn't see the black or grey area's.. and you can't after all, allthough I can see some vage black area's..

But, this is how it looks :)

Special thanx goes to you

just a tip (i think it should work) in zmodler select all. put it in SEL mode. Clik modify. Click Reorient. Click on the car in a editing view... That flips the faces inside out.

The Flanker is gone. :(
