Yes, between 550 and 600 m, too short
As said, the only thing I did not change in the .dat was the layout.
But we have luck, because the laptimes are quite realistic, maybe only 1 second too fast - that's nothing for a difference in lenght of 600 m
I adjusted magic data to get realistic laptimes.
Montoya's fastest lap in 2005 was 1:24.7xx. I got some feeback from some beta testers and mostly the cars (2005 mod) did 1:24.xxx -1:25.xxx.
With my 2004 mod I can do a 1:23.3xxx - we have no latimes from 2004 as Istanbul was new in 2005, but this might be nevertheless realistic because in 2004 you still were allowed to changed tyres and thus had softer compounds.
I have no data about 2006 laptimes. In yesterday's practice session the fastest one was 1:28.0xx (Vettel, BMW). I think in qualifying we will see low 1:26.xxx, probably even high 1:25.xxx laptimes.
Magic data is realistic now - at the end performance files have to be adjusted to obtain original laptimes.
Well, even though the track is too short you don't notice it really. On the one hand laptimes are still realistic and on the other hand this flaw can hardly be seen visually
