1. You can use the Gizmo of the UVWMapping modifier to rotate, scale and move (click the + ). Adding the UnwrapUVW modifier is also possible.
2. I think you mean how to unite vertices? It's called "weld" and this normalized the vertices as well.

Alternatively to edit mapping you can use UVWXform which gives you the option of rotating mapping, flipping in any direction, increasing the tiling etc.

Very handy tool

in Max, you can use the "Unify" button in the Normals panel in the Surface property section of an edit mesh modifier and at vertex level.
you can see this button in the last screen on this page.

If i rotate the whole dat the cc-line get's messy, how can i correct that?

With creating a new object it would be handy if you already can choose which texture it must have.

@Turbo_Lover:
1. Action Menu\"Fix cc cars behaviour" and it will be a lot better
2. OK, added to todo list.

The Circuit of Interlagos of 1979 was much more challenging than present.
The of today deed by the Ayrton Senna, aims at the security of the pilots and the track was shortened its stretch for privilege the television transmissions.
The of 1979 had barely 7 Km of stretch.
Interlagos 1979 was a quick circuit, with a big range of curves (high, medium and decrease speeds), helping in the formation of a legion of big Brazilian pilots with Chico Landi, Emerson Fittipaldi, José Carlos "Pace", Nelson Piquet, Alex Dias Ribeiro, Ingo Hoffman and Chico Serra.
Turbo Lover, good work in the development of this track.
Any help we are ready.

Hi celinho,

Thanks for your added info about the old Interlagos track. :)

I remembered this track as a dangerous track due it's large bumps and where the Renault team began to show the real potential of the TURBO engine.

Don't wanna offending my Brazilian GP4 friends, but i really dislike the current Interlagos track.

Yes!!! The present track regarding the old sketch stayed very it desire. The present track what is interesting and the ascents and descents and the challenge in I set right of the car so much for speed decrease curves in the inside, as much as for the straight one in ascent.
Can be sure a lot people here has to same its opinion...

Sim!!!

Laurent,
thank you so much for your gp4 builder ... ...
everything is mostly said about this brilliant tool.

only one remark, the radius in cc-Line section is not mm (millimeter).It is n*3/6 inch. Let us take section c0 from the original s1ct15.dat:

For L = arc length= 9sectors = 4,8768 m= 16 feet = 27648/6 inch
For R = radius = 6800 = 6800 *3/6 inch = 20400/ inch (!)

For an angle alpha measured in degrees we know that the size is given by alpha =(180*27648)/(20400*pi) = 77,6526° (!!)

kind regards

varrattu

post scriptum: the smallest possible viewable distance is N * 3/6 inch)

Sorry the value for L is

L = arc length = 9 sectors = 9 * 16 feet ( 9*4,8768m) = 26648/6 inch

@Varrattu: It seems you're right...in any way, this radius can't be only 6.8m (6800mm) while it is spread on 9 sectors (9*4.87m).
I'm not sure for the n*3/6 inch but I will check it as soon as possible.
Thanks for the report and glad someone saw it after all that time it was completely wrong (it's better late than never :))

@Lo2K

Laurent,

thank you for your quick response. I am nearly shure that the value n*3/6 inch is correct.

as far as i know the author of gp4 Geoff Crammond is Briton. so my idea is, that the measuring system has somewhat to do with feet and inch, never with meter or mm.

another reason is, that computer programs are much faster when working with integers. so i am also positive, that GP4 does not operate with degrees like 1,12345° etc. but this is another construction site....

let us take another example from the original s1ct15.dat, track sector 2, left track side width = 1170.

1170 * 3/6 inch = = 219,3750 inch = 18,2813 feet = 5,5721 meter = 3510/6 inch (integer). whatever the program does, it will work with the value 1170 or the reference 3510, never with 219.3750 inch, 18.2813 feet, 5.5721m or 5,57m.

the integer value 1170=3510/6 stands in correct relation to the track sector.

@Lo2K

sorry, I have to emend myself again. it was a little bit late yesterday :(:(:(

1170 * 3/16 inch = = 219,3750 inch = 18,2813 feet = 5,5721 meter = 3510/16 inch (integer).

the smallest possible distance is N * 3/16 inch !!!

Hi, I'm new to track editing and I an trying to edit Adelaide 1995 to make it a little bit more realistic. There are some questions I have with track editing:

How to you insert kerbs into the .gp4 and get the right heights in the .gp4 file?
How are the tracks walls in the DAT and the GP4 file lined up?
On TTM's Melbourne track 2007, how are the angled parts of the safety barriers made?
How do I create the track surface in the gp4 file and make it line up in heights with the DAT file?
Where can I get ZModler?
