i've always had ideas for something similar. but this one has no real input from the users does it? it concentrates more on the website rather than racing.
its a big job and needs a lot of interest to get off the ground so i've never really gone into it.
but for what its worth heres some of my ideas:
-a manager creates and runs a team.
-he hires drivers, develops the car etc
-the qualifying is done with hotlaps, and the race would either e simulated, or another hotlap way.
-a team starts with some $ and can earn more thru sponsors and prize money.
-a race costs a lot to run so good results are needed to bring in more money
-money can be spent immproving the car or driver - ie $X will improve the reliabilty/bhp/drivers perf/etc by Y amount etc
-bonuses are paid by sponsors for good results
-drivers are paid according to performance and can improver perfirmance theu good results
-testing can bring improvements but it costs
-a CSM set can be made up and each manager can release his car/helmets/etc so other users can have a full series mod

It won't work without user input, users have to submit at the very least hotlaps for qualy to gain points, Every driver in the series must use the same series cars.wad and physics file, csm set etc, their hotlaps have a checksum to verify them, the race could be ai run over a 50% race distance, or maybe it could be done by the drivers, and points awarded for final positions. It's really just for fun and I doubt we're playing for sheep stations, as we put it downunder. The website doesn't have to be flash to start with, it can evolve along with the series. The cars.wad/csm set can be released to the community if there is enough demand as a GP4WGPseries mod as long as all contributors, 'shapes, helmets, paint, disclaimers' etc. etc. are included. Look at the Vader Trophy which started on this site and see how well that series is run. The series needs a race director to view the hotlaps, run the ai if required, collate the results and post them to the web, maintain the website, the forum if it has one, the screenshot gallery etc. That's the hardest position to fill and probably needs more than one person to do it properly.

the imprtant things are circuits, physics, perfs, some tweaekr/gpxpatch settings. most other things are irrelevant.
so its possible for more than 22 cars

I gave a look at the structure of the page but I crashed my computer trying to open it in a html editor. Are you using Dreamweaver?
I think we can divide it in frames, I know it may sound old and etc, but it will be faster to load, I think.
I will work on it at night and I reply to you.

Hello... i would like to have my team race in this league.. so what details do you want. and by the way what car chassie can i use? any 2005 car would do?, the WGP car i downloaded has no tex mapping... so i m not abl 2 paint my car on it. if u let me know about this.. i ll PM the team details to you.

So I'm proud to anounce now that Rock'n'Roll is now Senna BR Racing.
Guimengo, is in Brazil where we will do our first tests with our hibrid car.
We are using an adapted BAR 007 F1 adapted to WGP regulations.
We will be testing this week in Jacarepagua (while the stupid government dosen't close it). And next week we will be in Interlagos.
So watch out, we are starting to collect data to develop our WGP model.
By the way the negotiation with Briere are going on, we are waiting some reply form him to finish the deal. So soon we can anounce our 2nd driver if everything goes good.
Hope to have great competition with all you guys and lot of fun. But we want to win!!!
