The end of the FW27!

Well I think the highest poly count for any previous GP4 car was around 12000 so 24k is double the poly count of anything thats come before it.

Can't wait.

why not just either make 1 super dooper 4096x4096 texture for renders and those daring to test it; and then 1x 2048x2048 general hi res liek rom1s cars and anyone after that who cant handle it should get a modern pc!

my rule is anything big can always be shrunk.

aiming at high spec users will limit the amount of people using the car twofold.

Now Enzojz released a 18000 poly Ferrari, so now people will know how this sort of res car works on their PC!

In fact last year's F1-2000 has already over 19000

Still aiming at 22 - 24,000 - will post some shots over the weekend, doing the engine and internal stuff now.

Bad news is I need to reformat my PC and reinstall XP, but It won't take me long over the weekend.

Anyone know any mapping shortcuts! ????

Dont know how you can aim for a poly count, just end up with useless polies in random places, but maybe thats how i shape :/

No, I'm working on what I have now and what I intend to add. I think I confused you by saying "still aiming at...." what I meant was "I think it'll be around!".



I certainly wouldn't go adding polys to increase the number

A beta for a williams from Intweb ? That's a joke isn't it ?
I'm sure the car will be great.

There where some issues in the start of williams from intweb,
but from williams to williams the car was going better.

From all of the GP4 cars the renault from Rom1 and the williams
from Intweb are my favorite cars.

But I normally just release a car and then fix the faults afterwards. As I've spent so long shaping and fine-tuning I want to get people to test first - fix the faults and release a half-descent car!

I'll pick 10 to test the car, hopefully you will only (maybe) need a few days (to a week?) to fault-find, then I can fix them and get the car released (at last!).......

Ok, here we go - please have a look and let me know your comments - I've tried to line it up against as many photos as possible and they all look good - but I'm open to public opinion on that .....











Will start mapping now and make any changes - should have a working model for beta testing within a week.

Oh and finally - as per general consensus, I'm going to do 1 x 2048 TGA and will see how that shapes up - thanks for the discussion / feedback.
