can we see a shot of the car straight on from the front

Iceman everybody would like to have this version because its better than other ones. I think its optimal for everyone 1 x 2048, but thats just my small opinion.

wouldnt mind trying the 3 x 2048 version, if you do make an unreleased version of that. might as well put that hardearned hardware to use.

but would be just as happy with a 3 x 1024 version too,since the new shapes look great

Release two versions, one with 3 1024x1024 for slow PCs, and another with super high resolution 1 2048x2048

well, even you you make 3 x 2048, people can downsample them to 1024, so that wouldn't be a problem... but i think just 1 x 2048 or 3 x 1024 is good enough

just 3x2048 for the best pc's and for the slower pc's 3x1024 thats the best i think
its a hi-res shape so hi-res texes need to be there but others need to get the shape too thats why you need to include, next to 3x2048, 3x1024

I don't think some of you people quite understand the reason for 2048 texturing. But its just so stupidly insane to even suggest 3 x 2048's, especially for this game. You really wont see the difference and itll add unnecessary PO ontop and besides, the shape isnt hi poly enough to really make use of it to start with.

And a shot of the whole nose from the side?
Possibly a screenie of the model against the real version?

I feel the the front has shape problems, notably the front nose and the front wing, the car always looks to have a higher nose in real life, a more aggressive nose too because of it looks raised higher and the nose near the front isn't as thin. I see that you've worked on the back a lot, but not the front.

I'll be honest and say that most of the versions you've released, I haven't noticed much of a change between the shapes. Only a slight one from the Melbourne version to the current version.

Also I think its best to have either 3x1024s or 1x2048. Anything more is overkill.

I'm sorry you think the shape is out, but until I'm ready to map and have the final shape finished, I don't care, as it's constantly changing on a daily basis !!!

As for previous shapes, the fundimental changes were aero additions, the shape changed very little after the beta 2 version of australia.

Finally, the entire car has been recreated, there is not a single part on it that has been carried forward from the previous car (NOT A SINGLE PART!), so hopefully your negative comments on the previous cars will be negated by this fact!!!

Good for you...but GP4 is more Processor intensiv...

Currently there are 24K, that'll probably increase a bit between now and the final V.

How does that sound? Too much? Too little??

I am clueless on what is a good/bad number, the original had around 10K less.
